  • It's been very successful. I think the owlets should be fledging soon, so I'm keeping an eye out.

  • American barn owls. They've been very uncooperative about posing for pictures so far.

  • I can hear this image. There's an occupied owl box near me and dinner is late as soon as the chicks wake up.

  • That's really interesting. How'd you end up with unstable basil in the first place?

  • Thanks for the update. It's always hard to figure out how a yarn will wear over time

  • Any shot is a good one! I've never been able to get my phone out fast enough when I run into foxes. It seems like they're always on the move.

  • I can hear these pictures

  • I had The Old Man. He decided to use scantrons for the first time in his career when I took his class, and he really liked option E) None/All of the above.

  • Boston! I enjoyed how all of the ones shared are in snuggle mode.

  • I don't think I've seen a barn owl facial disk disrupted like that before. Neat

  • Others have covered the practical use knots, so I want to throw a couple fun ones out there:

    • Double carrick bend
    • Monkey's fist

If you're into crafts, friendship bracelets use half hitches. Macrame and tatting are also variations on tying knots in patterns.

  • I always enjoy the wildlife photo contests. So many great pictures!

  • Interesting read, thanks!

  • Very cool! What'd you use for the orbs on the staff?

  • Ahh, I couldn't figure out how the band number gave out any info of use, but if it's tied to location elsewhere, that makes sense. Thanks!

  • Any idea why the bands were blurred out?

  • They grab onto icicles!?
