  • So was trying to get it on my steam deck and I'm figuring it's a linux problem. Im following this guide, the same one I used on my PC and had no issues. I'm at the step where I paste in the mod.io key and it's throwing an error, "error sending request for url error trying to connect". I've tried rebooting, and thats really all my computer knowledge extends to. I am using the .exe version through wine, no idea how its set up cus it "just worked". I did try the linux version first, but on that after extracting it and running Mint nothing happened, so I tired the .exe one and that managed to launch.

    Any linuxy wisdom would be appreciated

    As someone who (outside of basic game modding) hates to tinker out of fear of breaking something, that second part is aimed at people like me.

    In other words I read this is “Hey FlipFlop, you could make all these changes, but let’s leave that to your buddies who actually know electronics and hardware so you don’t end up with $100 steam brand paperweight “

    I’ve had friends who haven’t bought a game in a very long time and still plays games like it’s 2013 (wish I could do that). On the other hand I have a cousin who me and another cousin are tying to get into pc gaming, and thus has a very new account with practically no games, and might continue playing on his Xbox till he can a steam machine or decent pc

    I for one would also love to stop scalpers and make a flag of their skin but that’s really hard when protections have to also not alienate any actual customers

  • Me and one of my online buddies (but not the third online buddy) were able to grab one so that’s 2 you can move from the scalpers to user side. Searching steam controller with a few different words left me only with the original controller and some others, so I’m hoping a majority of the sold ones are to legit users

  • Yeah I check 2 min early just so I could refresh the page right at 10, and I was surprised when I saw the orders were open, after spamming the next button on payment, I was able to get mine in at 10

  • Yeah I’ve also heard preloading the money helps, been holding on to gift card money, forgot to add that to the body, as for exactly the reason you said.

    Also forget to put in the body (maybe this is my sign to head to bed) that the deck being out of stock I couldn’t check to see what info is required beyond shipping details, if any

  • Well wasn’t too much durable damage in vehicles already one of the main problems

    To my knowledge this shouldn’t affect our squishy helldiver bodies so there’s that at least. And I kinda see it, how do you balance the mech without making it super OP? I guess arrowheads thought is make it out of wet paper mache

    Also hive guard changes make me wanna me scream they were good for what they were, a tough but weak COMMON enemy. Bugs are too mobile to become a shield devestator

    At this point I’m just venting I don’t think I’ve been this frustrated by an update

  • Oh well that makes me feel much better as I’m still holding on to like $200 from Christmas so that shouldnt be an issue, gonna get the preloaded on the 4th so all I have to do is hit refresh, gonna do an internet speed test to see if the college WiFi or my hotspot is faster (prolly my hotspot)

    Im gonna be in class during the launch so i really hope lecture doesnt go over anything important when im ordering it. Oh my god im so excited i can hardly contain it, there are some games I wanted to play only on my deck cus they worked better with controller

    I am a little worried that if i dont get it right as it lauches im gonna miss it, but at least my one fear of it being dropped at like 6 am or something has been put to rest
