  • Can concurr, first thing you should do is check logs. Had an issue recently where my system wouldn't boot. Checked logs, and it was an error with my 580xx kernel headers. Fell back to an earlier snapshot, updated, reinstalled said headers, and got it working.

    Also impressive sometimes how far you can get wiah an "[issue] Linux" web search. As someone who's used AI for troubleshooting before, it's a last resort. It can sometimes help with pointing you in the right direction, but don't count on it.

  • Not to mentioned the model needs to be trained on something. It has no ability to create anything, it just mixes billions of pictures into a shit smoothie. Grok and many other models have been trained on child porn, and it wouldn't surprise me to hear that it was intentional.

  • Anything time-based. Fuck voicemail, I don't have time to listen to the slow voice read everything out, give me a ui and words and let me read at 700wpm. Even shit like power buttons make me mad. I'm always doing stuff, I can't dedicate 2 seconds to turning on my headphones because I'm using that hand for something else, like carrying food or opening something. The only bottleneck for how fast I can do something should be me. Bring back switches!

  • I use CachyOS because I don't feel like going through the hassle of installing drivers for my 1070ti. The kernel optimizations are nice, tho.
