  • I think Trump will like him more. /shrug

  • If your goal is not to be a lawyer, I would try connecting with non-profits in your area/state and asking if they know anyone who is seeking volunteers. Otherwise you have to go to law school, spend years studying, pay money.

  • It really depends on the degree to which the Republican party destroys elections. If they don't, Democrats have a large majority in the Millennial/early Gen-Z age group, so we could be looking at a good 30 years of majority control. That's almost certainly the reason they're working so hard to corrupt elections, and we'll see to what degree we'll be able to fight it.

  • When I'm in control of my diet (not currently), I try to only have 2 at a time with a coffee. So, yeah, like 3 bites per cookie.

  • The issue with doing that is you have to take bigger bites, so you eat more cookies than you would if you didn't. It's good though. I also like animal crackers dipped in coffee.

  • The screens are designed to be addicting. That's not hyperbole. They literally use data scientists to increase the amount of time and money you spend on them. The longer you scroll, the more time you're playing the game, the more money the developers make on average. Online service providers don't care about your wellbeing. Your parents do. Just like there's more food than chips and cake, there's more to life than being on a screen. Investing in long term hobbies, skills, and friendships won't have the instant gratification to compete with a video game, but 10 years from now you will think back way more fondly on your hours skateboarding or learning to play guitar than the ones you lost online.

  • This response is weird. It’s like you ignored what I wrote completely and only wanted to read some completely different stereotypical point.

  • No matter how you distribute income, it is never going to be comfortable to pick pineapples, slaughter animals, weld metal, repair sewers, or arrest criminals. Comfort is simply not in the job description. Someone has to lose. We can't all be software developers and artists.

  • Thomas Jefferson owned over 600 slaves. You can't be comfortable in life without people beneath you making your life comfortable.

  • I'd have never let that baby out of my sight again.

  • No amount of time. Not in that it'll spoil, just in that it'll taste gross reheated.

  • It looks like being polite in public and contributing to society, or complying with mental health treatment if you can't, and leaving the town if you refuse.

  • Low freedom, low wealth disparity, high investment into social goods. I would prefer we expect people to behave and remove them if they can't/refuse, personally.

  • what a horrendous existence. totally at the mercy of everyone and everything around you, for your entire life.

  • Oh, you mean, you're lonely? That's tough. People tend to invest in themselves when they're going through periods of being single and also try to make new friends.

  • I mainly cry at myself for being pathetic.

  • it makes them personally wealthier

  • It's the kind of thing he would do. Putin does it all of the time, and you know how Trump feels about him. One time Putin staged a takeover of a theater, and then gassed the theater. With hundreds of innocent members of the public inside. They got dragged across the ground and stacked up in public busses to be taken to the hospital. Over 100 died. They refused to publish the actual total. For a press op.

  • Work is good, it's the people that are the problem. Plus the low pay.
