  • So I love this reply because it's emblematic of missing the point. I am not defending piracy with my original statement, at all. This is your own conclusion. Piracy is still (depending on the country) illegal and subject to punishment and enforcement. If you want to engage or not is entirely up to you, I'm not justifying anything. I am clarifying an important point. Where it matters is in the application of penalties and damages for the aggrieved.

  • I'm of the opinion that information should be irrelevant in the housing price and the sellers aren't obligated.

  • Pretty much exactly the same. But the Ali interface hosts several mini apps that auto links to the alipay payments. So you can book flights, hotels, trains, attraction tickets, or order a didi all from the main interface. Pretty slick, all without searching for related accounts.

  • Summit, by far. Voyager gets a lot of recommendations but it's not nearly as slick.

  • Alipay was easier to set up and ubiquitous. But same deal.

  • I work in this industry. It is not free from ai and thus employment impacts.

  • Digital piracy had never been stealing, and framing it as such is a huge marketing success of IP holders. Stealing requires removal of property. Piracy duplicates. It is intellectual property violation, which is distinct from stealing.

  • Get off the internet. Just, get off.

  • So your data point of one american speaks for 'most' doctors globally. Sound stats.

  • This is such an american take.

  • On the other hand, all religions are complete weirdos and not a single one of them deserves special status or protections.

  • People are getting smarter about what kind of fees they'll tolerate for mediocre service. I also bet TV service subscriptions are on the decline.

  • I actually think it's better than that and when you set up multiple pipelines that interact and cross check it starts to ramp up. Definitely true Lemmy has its head in the sand about it though.

  • No one needs a pickup. Certainly not any modern pickup.

  • Massively hard pass.

  • Depends on the game, depends on the rank even. F2P games are rife with smurfs.

  • Useful pic! 6 or 7 look perfect to me. When they start to get the stupid little stringy bits due to softness they're no longer enjoyable for me on their own. Those go to the trash, or used in baking.

  • Yeah but their other stuff is amazing. The Blue Album is audio gold.
