  • I clarified my post. Thx for sharing your experience. I feel dumb for having used immich with friends a couple of times to collect images and now only my images have geo locations (because the photos were uploaded via the app, not web)

    Edit:

Does that mean that it's not immich's fault but androids? Only androids (5 different ones) were uploading so far.

  • I clarified my post. All good. I can't help either

  • I don't actually use reitti but I set it up and it always runs. I love it. Updating worked easily after reading the release notes. The new look is amazing. Stats are nice. Thx!

  • The name sounds like an archive of failed products to me

  • No need to change ssh port. Why would you do that? Just use a secure password, or better use key pairs

Most servers are just normal ubuntu, debian, fedora server and they work fine. Why do you need a hardened kernel?

Why would you have to scan your machine for open ports if you didn't open them?

Moreover, the router has the firewall that is visible from WAN, not your computer. Check that firewall, open 443 and 80 there.

Use an image based server os like fedora coreos so you don't mess with the installed packages.

  • Sounds like you're someone who thought a little about pricing.

Why should anyone get a royalty for a listen?

There's a club in my town with a dj who plays each week. Club gets paid, dj gets paid. His sets are like ads for his work in the club. Why would I have to pay for each listen? Why would he has to earn for each listen?

Especially if that DJ is residing somewhere else and won't ever come to my town because it's too small for him.

Why do we create superstars? Why does "superstar S" have to be paid millions because millions come to their show. Even though I stand 500 m away, I can't see them, I can't hear them properly. Why can't it be that there is a cover band covering those songs. Maybe even doing a better job. On a loval concert, with great sound, a good stage, less crowd, less people, more fun.

Why do we cheer a dj with electronic music, who just plays one song after the other, with a little bit of mixing now and then and choosing the next track based on the crowd? Why aren't people in the center of the music (anymore)?

Why is our system so fucked up?

  • And as if fedora and nix wouldn't have repos

  • In most markets Senior developers often command salaries exceeding $150,000 USD per year ... Compared to its competitors, Session operates extremely efficiently

How much do they earn at session?

How many are in "a lean team"?

  • Vanadium is much faster than ff and blocks roughly the same things. I still use ff :( (i know this is linux but I don't use any chromium browsers on linux and my wifi card is so old I can't say anything about browser speed)

  • I just browse text based websites. To me the browser performance doesn't really matter at all.

Does it support pwa? Does it allow to block ads and harmful content? That's important to me.

  • My option is to use a VPN at home. Sad world. It's the only way I can sleep well.

  • Sounds like you've got a good path behind you. Kudos. Don't worry about the future. It'll take some time until you reach the plateau. I understand and feel the desire to optimize the workout but you don't have to do that. I've also done that. Most of us have. The most important goal gor the first years is not to micro-optimize your workout but to lift consistently and find your balance. You shiuldn't workout 5 times a week for 3 months and then stop. Build up a maintainable consistency with a schedule you can maintain. Working out 5 times a week is daunting. You have to rest a lot. Building the schedule, the knowledge about the compound and accessory lifts is much more important than how to do your sets. Just doing 3 sets with 8-12 is enough for a long time. Ofc you can do whatever you want to increase fun.

  • Your post uses more em dashes than usual. Must be ai generated as well.

  • I use it for a couple of years. It's great. Pixel pros have a great camera quality and they run everything smoothly. With graphene, you are more under control of your phone than before.

  • Afaik, the most important metric is progressive overload. If you can add weights and volume to your sets, compared to your previous workouts, you are good.

How does this fit with rir/er for you? Did you try to workout a month with and one without that method? Did you see a difference?

Fwiw: looks like effective reps aren't backed by science

Edit: regarding junk volume. How much are you speaking of? The 4th set? Or the 10th set for a specific muscle? Each additional set has a lower marginal utility of growth. Most plans use 10-20 sets per muscle per week.

As long as you are fatiguing the muscle with heavy weights, you don't have much junk volume within a set. You can do 40 reps, it just takes more time and noone wants to do that. 8-12 or 6-14 reps are the sweat spot. If you aim for 8 and can do 14, so what? Awesome! Your progression from your previous session is great. Add weight and do the same for the next set/session.

Edit2: I am not a benchmark but I measure progression based on the big compound exercises and other exercises like biceps curls are just accessories. I do progress on those but I measure growth based on the big 6. As soon as I get to curls, my muscles are so fatigued that it would be unfair to judge based on the curls.
