  • I’ve been playing through it and it works great. A couple of crashes throughout the game but nothing too crazy.

  • Not making Dee a Rito feels like a missed opportunity

  • South Park: The Stick of Truth and its sequel were really funny and the RPG gameplay was a lot more fun than I expected. I’ll also second the recommendation for the Monkey Island series.

  • No, the two biggest blue cities (KC and STL) are on opposite sides of the state.

  • Sonic the Hedgehog for the Sega Genesis. Still one of my favorites so definitely worth it.

  • I personally don’t have a huge issue with adding the date of birth field (but I understand the concern). However, calling people who are against the change “facists” and part of a “nazi bar” is wild.

  • Yeah forge is what I use too and it’s definitely a little clunky. PaperWM was decent last time I tried it too (but still a little clunky)

  • Had a chance to watch The Fall in a theater recently and it was so good. It’s too bad more people haven’t seen it

  • I could see something like Sleeping Dogs working too

  • Hulk Hogan. I was such a huge Hulkamaniac as a kid, brother.

  • I use Fedora myself but for people new to Linux I still usually recommend Ubuntu. I know it’s likely to stick around because of the company backing and if an application is built for Linux it’s pretty much guaranteed to work on Ubuntu. I’m sure Mint is great too but for a beginner I want the distro to be as well supported as possible.

Once they get the hang of open source and develop a healthy hate of Snap I drag them down into my Fedora cave though.

  • Not sure what the dell computers are doing but with something like Alpaca it’s pretty easy to run local LLMs

  • A Snuggie blanket. Got it from an ex and thought I’d hate it when I got it since it was pretty popular to hate on them at the time. I’ve had it for over a decade now and it’s so perfect for playing video games or using a computer when it’s cold.

  • Happy to hear the full game is great. I really enjoyed the demo.

  • Old Man’s War is a really fun, easy read. The aliens are pretty creative and the basic premise of old people getting new bodies to fight battles in space is fun.

  • Something like OVOS would be more of an Alexa replacement, right? I used Mycroft for a while before the company went under but this is the community fork.
