To try to oversimplify: there was some law from the Clinton administration that said for X amount of ads for cigarettes, information for what cigarettes do to you must be aired as well (in the form of an ad). So, to kill 2 birds with one stone, they lobbyed and successfully got cigarette ads banned. This served to try and suppress potential competition outside of the big name brands and information for what cigarettes actually do to you. So, it was a 4D chess move done by the big cigarette companies collaborating with each other. I hope that makes sense

The one thing that doesn't make sense to me about this is why wouldn't they plant evidence that the assassin was a leftist or at least a liberal? Wouldn't that make more sense if the goal was to increase the odds of Trump's victory? Though it's possible that they just didn't bother or tried to but were too incompetent. Either way, I'm not going to say for sure if it was staged or not until we get definitive evidence, but it is plausible.
Copyright is useful for when you're protecting intellectual property from being stolen by big corporations as a smaller business or private citizen. It's actually the original intent for why it exists in the first place. The problem is that it's rarely used that way and is instead used by big corporations as a battering ram to extract as much wealth as possible from the ones below them.
Yeah, I agree that the Biden Administration could have tried to do more to stop it. Trump has been doing everything via executive orders which is why he has been able to bypass everything. I do agree that executive orders need to be nerfed if we ever get out of this mess. The problem with Democrats is that they play by the rules and Republicans don't, thus why Biden never spammed executive orders. Though it might all come back to haunt Trump eventually since there's thousands of lawsuits filed against him for all the times he misused executive orders. Did Biden win the senate? Did he appoint the judges for the supreme court? I agree that he mishandled the conflict in Israel, but I not sure what Biden could have done to stop the abolishment of Roe v Wade as an example. If anything, he did a good job bringing us back to some sense of stability after Trump's 1st term ended in disaster. We should critize the Democrats for their mismanagement in that goal, but this consensus that Republicans and Democrats are exactly the same I've been seeing everywhere is ridiculous.
