Junethack 2025 breakdown

congratulations to clan Surly Dinos, who finished two points ahead of Team Splat. SD led on unique deaths, Medusa kills and games with all conducts broken, TS on most ascended combinations and trophies.

  • recuerdo ascended 6 variants

  • Merlek got a trophy in all 23 (not counting 1.3d; jientho missed Grunt)

  • recuerdo and zHz ascended Un (recuerdo Elberethless)

  • only 31PwnMoat entered the Bigroom in Splice.

  • xdminsy ascended xnh petless, scareless, deaf, artiless

  • only Merlek got the luckstone in Grunt

  • recuerdo ascended Fourk E-less and splatted on Astral in FIQ

  • hothraxxa got up to Gehennom in Dyna

  • fitsf ascended Slash'Em with $25k

  • Tangles ascended SlashTHEM

  • nyri got both the luckstone and the Sokoban prize in Hack'EM

  • riker ascended dnh 8 times

weird that it happened twice:

  • suffocated by a gelatinous cube (EvilHack)
  • pounded by hailstones (CrecelleHack)
  • killed by her own pick-axe (NetHack 3.6.7, FIQHack)
  • choked on an ape corpse (NetHack 3.7.0)
  • blasted himself with a wand of light (EvilHack)

The ascensions per day plot has a curious 2-day pattern in the first half.

Least played variants: spork, 1.3d, THEM, Fourk. Most played: Splice (3.4.3 was 14th out of 24)

most trophies: recuerdo 169, zHz 42 in one game, dedal zero in 33 games
