Anime creators received “0.0%” of Japanese government’s entertainment industry subsidies in 2024, official documents show  - AUTOMATON WEST

Documents released by Japan's METI indicate that out of subsidies aimed at the content industry in 2024, a shockingly small portion went towards animators.
