Iseleve OAV - Special Episode Review

This show wasn't high on my list for new seasons, but along with the announcement for Season 2, a "special episode" or OAV was almost simultaneously released.

For what's supposed to be a modern action show, it wasn't the best quality: Lots of pan and scan still shots, even less quality than the show from many years ago.

On the other hand, the art was pretty good: Well drawn with lots of color depth.

But as our protagonist Yuuta continued his upwards progress in this one episode, I found myself wondering "how more ridiculously OP can he get?" Particularly when he takes care of a world-rending antagonist in a couple of minutes.

It's cute though. The characters emotions feel earnest enough, and the sharp editing and direction keeps the plot moving along.
