Pomfrit is rudely awakened from her nap
From Bat World Sanctuary:
By now, we all know that little Pomfrit the Eastern red bat marches (ok, tlaps dramatically around) to the beat of her own drum. Tonight on How the Bat Naps, we see what arguably is The One True Princess' most impressive (aka, silly; aka, weird; aka, seriously, Poms, what are you thinking?) napping position yet.
We also see the look you get when you wake Her Tiny Highness up from said nap.
How. Dare. You.
Red bats are foliage bats - they roost in trees and, well, other foliage. (See what I did there?)
Foliage bats do not form colonies and are considered to be a rather solitary species. Not as much is known about their behavior because of this.
It continues to be interesting and a joy to see Pomfrit's personality emerge as she has adapted to a life of captivity (for those that do not know, wing injuries, including missing thumbs, prevent Pomfrit's release).
