Finally the Belted Kingfishers have returned

Great Lakes region, USA. April 2026.

I've been hearing these kingfishers for the past two weeks, but have been unable to get any photos. Not the easiest bird to photograph, they're quite skittish. They're probably a top 5 bird for me, so fun to watch. I even saw her get a kill. Not the best photos, but I'm just glad to have got them.
