The warning notice to the so-called "finfluencers" relates to suspected provision of unlicensed financial advice, including promoting claims of guaranteed returns.
We often see finfluencers promising fast or easy money, often associated with the allure of a lavish lifestyle," Mr Kirkland said.
"Often there's a real emphasis on … the power of the personality of the finfluencer that obscures the lack of substance in their advice.
The cult of personality is ubiquitous, especially egregious in politics which sees people vote for personality over policy, ao not unsurprising to see it elsewhere.
