Off to a non-US instance. Goodbye, and thanks for all the fish.

  • Goku fusion!

  • Companies just say they are headquartered in Dublin with a token officw

That's incorrect, they have offices and staff there. Maybe not as much as in the US, sure, obviously, but there's staff and not token.

  • Liking the work you do? Are you deranged?! What's next, fair compensation?!

  • For context, I’m not convinced any living person has read the entirety of Google’s privacy policies.

    Their own lawyers, maybe.

  • The results of this research have been applied to SQLite already and were released in v3.38.0.

tl;dr: Bloom filters were great because: minimal memory overhead, goes well with SQLite’s simple implementation, and worked within existing query engine.

  • In other news, scientists who demonstrated world's first diamond-nuclear battery suffer mysterious fatal accident.

  • It's self-destruct and it's a feature!

  • That's a disclaimer in the bug submission page.

  • Current min is 4 current target is 5, 14 requires target 6, guess i can start there. The question was about enforced minimums throughout versions, i guess only 14 has that requirement.

  • I'll make sure to tell that to my customers running Android 4.

  • Define cheap.Define better.Define good.

  • That's for GooglePlay and the only mention of minimum requirements for targetSdk is for Android 14.

  • Show where I can get the source code and build instructions to build my own debian image.

Do your own homework. Start with LFS, go from there. This might also be an interesting read.

  • Can't give US Corpos money that way... gotta buy US hardware. 'Murica!

  • It's the protocol underlying typical (and unsafe) SMS messages. Maybe this news is why the FBI decided to break character and recommend Signal.

The news itself... meh... not really news and neglects to mention the US does it too (and most likely to their own citizens as well).

  • Like, its my phone, and some app can just decide to disable a fuction of my phone.

    Is it your phone though?

  • It's usually the opposite...
