  • My oneplus 6 is running postnarmetos fine, the hardware is still good but depending on where you get it you might need to replace the battery. My battery worked but only held about half of the charge it should. They are also oled screened so expect a little burn in from all the years of use, especially the status bar if the old user ran light mode.

  • The eu store is a seperate warehouse for most stuff (I think maybe some phones ship always from china) but mostly it's because they have eu taxes applied. Ordering directly from china, any vat or sales tax is applied at import into your country so the eu stuff, with it already applied will look ~20% more expensive.

  • dV also called delta V is the change in velocity required. Higher means more fuel is required and so making the rocket is harder. The earth orbits the sun at a very high speed and so to get to a planet much further inward requires slowing down a lot. You can look up escape velocity which is the velocity required to exit a gravitational body completely.

  • No, I think it's a good idea but I'm fine with plant based alts. I think it's a lot better than having to kill animals for food but still seems like a lot of extr steps when you can just eat plants and stuff mad from plants without requiring a biological reactor, and lab. I would also assume that the process requires at least some more energy or resorces than regular food processing methods. So it wouldn't win any points on that front. I was raised vegan for context, so I've never actually tasted real meat and don't see any reason to try it now, lab grown or not.

  • There is a config option that doesnt share passwords, "as marked by password managers" idk how well it works but it might block that behavior. On the PC side in clipboard configs in kde connect.
