  • What I mean is that there's nothing more we can do to sell an EV to a family like this. Sure, lots of people already own EVs but many will not buy and EV even if they are in the perfect situation to get one. This people will only get an EV when ICE cars are gone.

  • I took wayland a decade to become usable. It tells me all I need to know about it simplicity and usefulness.

  • A minute of silence for all the people killed by asshole chihuahuas...

  • Tell me. Tell me now!

  • I've stopped using their recommendations (except in my car) for other reason: I no longer knew the albums. It used to be you would get new album from X, you would listen to it couple of times, learn the song titles and think "this new album is awesome/shit/better then the last one". With Spotify it was just constant stream of songs from the sam e artist without any idea of their artistic progression. I missed that part so now I just listen to whole albums and custom playlists.

  • I've just tried registering in their app and got and error. After finally entering (without any confirmation that my account was creates) the charger next to me does not appear in the app. It's a big charging station for multiple cars and the app says it does not exist. Overall experience: 3/10.

There's a Zunder charger next to it but their entire infra just collapse. The app is down, the page is down and the charger that admits card payments is unresponsive. Everyone run buy an EV...

  • EU just passed a law to make chargers accepting credit card mandatory every 50km on main highways. It comes into effect in 2025. It's a move in good direction but they really have to focus on availability as well. It's crazy how long a charger can be out of service without anyone doing anything about it. It's clearly an afterthought for all the companies involved.

  • Why not just take all the homeless from Chicago and send them to warm Florida?

  • I'm saying that Karen will not even consider EV because insert default excuse. People that do consider EVs will investigate the state of the infrastructure a bit and decide to wait. Play store and other pages are full of reviews. Also, anyone riding with me can see it's state. You don't have to own an EV to be aware of the issues.

  • Yes but we all know what the issues with Tesla are.

  • As a EV owner I don't worry about range that much but I'm constantly infuriated by the shitty charging experience. Charging at home is great but road trips are a constant pain in the ass. Let's face it, most people are not interested in switching to EV at all and will find an excuse until ICE cars are banned (I'm looking at you people with two family cars and private garage). You want to convince the people actually thinking about it? Make charging work.

  • My opinion is that kids only want to use phones because they see parents use them all the time. If parents would use phones only for calling, kids would not find them interesting. Of course giving up phones is super difficult, beyond what parents are willing to do. And of course I'm talking about small children, not adolescents.

  • Explain how choosing genocide supports human rights. I you mean that by supporting Israel you're making sure you have a good place to store weapons and can murder people in the region say that. Talking about human rights beacons makes you sound silly.

  • If democracy commits genocide what's the benefit of it being a democracy? Please explain. Is it better for a journalist living in the middle east to be murderer by democratic government than autocratic one? Is he less dead?

  • Because Israel is? Hahaha

  • How is democratic genocidal government better than autocratic genocidal government? Wasn't Hitler democratically elected?

Chance for human rights my ass.

  • "I’ve always wanted to remove the role [and the] need for professional people to prescribe difficult drugs to use."

You probably will still need a doctor to declare death and in case anything fails. The drugs are not difficult to use. You just take a pill to suppress vomiting and after an hour drink 100ml of liquid. If anything goes wrong the doctor will inject drugs while your still unconscious. Maybe some people would prefer the pod but for me it looks like a gimmick.

  • When universal healthcare takes care of assisted suicide you don't need pods. In Spain either the doctor will administer the drugs in hospital or you can take them home and do it yourself. At home method consists of drinking pentobarbital solution.
