  • Had a issue with my zero just recently (motherboard battery run out), I posted on their forum and had a replay in a matter of hours with a link to disassembly video. I talked to them in Spanish but from what I see they reply in English without issues.

  • A friend of mine worked in Switzerland for couple of years. It's pretty much impossible to buy anything there because everything is owned by investment founds. He worked with two Swiss guys. One got lucky and married a women that inherited a piece of land and was able to build his own house. The other one was renting. According to my friend the levels or resentment and jealousy expressed by the latter were staggering. They pretend it's a good model but in reality they know being forced to rent sucks. Don't let this model become reality in other places.

  • Meh, I don't think any of this matters. The right in US is winning BIGLY and none of those examples, media exposure or voter mobilization really matters. The right in 4 years of Trump managed to ban abortion and take control of the supreme court for the next, what?, 20 years? 30? Meanwhile, Biden and Democrats just sit there doing nothing. US need urgent reforms of education, healthcare, policing, gun laws, judiciary, political parties financing and many more a none of this will happen. The only things that's actually changing is that the government gets weaker and corporations get stronger. The only thing this type of activism can achieve is taking half step back while each Republican term the entire country takes 10 big steps forward in the direction of dictatorship. Looking from outside I'm amazed at how bad thing are in US and how little people realize this.

  • Nice to see Slimbook here. It's a Spanish company. I bought slimbook zero some years ago and it's working really well. I would thinking about getting proper laptop/dekstop from them but in the end I went with Vant, another Spanish company. Vant is not as pretty but has better prices.

  • I was going to say this is not going to work but thinking about it... it might. Swapping stations will be very hard to build and maintain but it's not exclusive technology, i.e. cars with swappeable batters will still be chargeable. So swapping stations will be like ultra fast chargers. You will have big network or normal chargers, smaller network of fast chargers and tiny network of swapping stations in key locations. If this standard will not make the car more expensive it could be an incentive enough for people to buy them. As more cars can swap batteries they will build more swapping stations. It will not become the main way to of charging any time soon, maybe never, but it could work for longer trips.

  • In the Netflix show Unorthodox there's a scene where a girl wants to go out but bunch of neighbours standing at the exit tell her that eruv is broken so she has to go back to her apartment and leave her bags. There's no explanation given but I've read about the eruv thing in the past so I knew what's going on. I felt smart.
