  • I installed GrapheneOS on my Pixel 9, and the whole process was amazingly well polished. I was definitely suprised by how well it went. Awesome bit of software.

  • I was going to get some links for you, but conveniently The Register already did that for me:

    The Register

  • This isn't the first time they've been breached, there was an incident in 2015 and 2022 as well. From what I can gather its the same info being gathered each time.

There might be others but I can't find th at the moment.

  • Booting to a black screen with white text, while functional, really detracts from the more professional experiences that can be had elsewhere. I know the theming support is severely lacking in systemd-boot though (which I believe this is)

  • Its "OK", and with Distrobox available it can make it far more usable. My experience with it has been on Bazzite, and it was great for a while but ended up having issues with os-tree a number of times, when the whole promise of being able to rollback to a last known good install didn't work, I went back to a traditional OS.

  • No stress, just making sure there wasn't some other reason for it. Cheers

  • I've been using LibreWolf for a while now, and just started using IronFox today. I'm super grateful those forks exist that allow use to turn that shit off.

  • Cheers I'll check out Ansible, it been on my lost of things to look at over the years anyway so its a good excuse to dig into it

  • Thanks for the recommendation, I'll check it out

  • Yea that was going to be my next step if I don't find anything that fits my needs, I'll make it - but this is a solved problem for sure. I just need the right thing that's close enough to what I'm looking for.

  • I do use that when gaming. Awesome software

  • Thanks, I don't think i'll bother with the power side of it but I'd be interested to know still.

  • OK, got it. Thanks

  • I'm pretty confused what you're getting at to be honest.

  • Yea that's what I kinda figured to be honest. Probably the only scenario would be wanting to do pass through to a VM or something where it might be useful

  • In what setup? Using switchable graphics?

  • I've generally had pretty good success with laptops, but they were always Intel + Nvidia with only one HDMI port available.

  • I have about 10 protein/gym shakers, that I use for shakes (obviously) but also just water. I have so many because they will sometimes come free when i order supplements - but they can be bought for a few dollars. I rotate them daily and just run them through the dish washer. Because they're wide and the lid comes off they are super easy to wash and dry.

I'll normally get a couple years out of them before they need replacing.
