  • Having AI replace CEOs would be a huge profit boost for the company too! 😎🤙

  • It works on their machine though!

  • Damn and here I was proud of my weight loss. 40 more pounds to go I guess 😂

(For us Freedom Unit folks, 75kg = 165lb)

  • Well the US Govt makes you pay taxes as a citizen even if you're on a visa abroad. It shouldn't be surprising that it makes you pay taxes in the afterlife too. You just need to prove you're dead so they can update your home address.

  • Depends who is saying the "Bye Bye"

For many people here on Lemmy? This is probably awesome news!

But there are still plenty of games with the stupid kernel level anti cheat. As long as SteamOS has that limitation and can't attract the likes of the AAA developers, it's still not a viable option for the majority of people unfortunately.

  • Package has been left at the front door

  • If this were any other dog, I would believe this post full-stop.

But this is a husky model. There is about a 20% chance that this dog loaf just came out of the factory like that

  • Yeah if I remember the scene right then I share the sentiment. The message was good, the writing and execution of the scene itself though was a little weak. But that's S1 TNG. It has its high moments and it's low moments 😅

  • The worst are the places that say they have delivery, take you through the whole checkout process on their own site, and then sends you a link to track your order on door dash or something.

  • Thank goodness this doesn't apply to Graduating College! /s

  • He's doing his part.

  • I think the Hitachi Magic Wand advertises (or rather used to advertise the last time I looked at it) itself as a muscle massager and doesn't mention anything sexual.

But it's probably the most popular wand vibrator people use

  • Yeah, sonic wears shoes. That's not normal for a hedgehog

  • Everyone is responding to you why you shouldn't be using Wikipedia anyways for homework, and I wholeheartedly agree that it's a great starting point but not a great finishing point, but I'll give you a hint as to how you can use it for your homework 😉.

Find your topic in Wikipedia and find a tidbit of information that you want to use on your paper or whatever. Wikipedia should have sources, so find the source of the thing you want to use.

That source now has the information you want to use and much more! That should be citable for your homework!

  • Either a coffee mug or laptop is the answer

  • They were even more upfront about it in TOS for some issues too.

I remember many instances where they say "We have women in our crew in the future." It's not like DISCO flaunted around saying "we don't hate gay people in this ship."

Like I understand that DISCO isn't everybody's favorite, and sure it has some issues, but all the flak it got for being "woke" and "preachy" was weird to me.

Part of Kirk's whole thing was preachy speeches, and Picard had many moments too.

  • It's more like "Slapping on the wrist isn't helping." The Alex Jones bankruptcy is the first time I've seen anyone fined significantly to the point of it mattering. Fines are meant to be significant enough that the company would do its best to avoid them. If the fine is palpable, then it's just the cost of doing business.

  • An (ex) friend of mine refused a breathalyzer when a county sheriff found him sleeping behind the wheel in a parking lot after a day of drinking. Because he refused the test the county revoked his license.

Meanwhile this cop hits a child and nothing happens.

Note to self: if I'm going to commit a crime make sure I'm a cop first.
