This is the second thread I've seen today with contentious talk about sharpening knives, and I have to ask both sides: do none of you live near a knife sharpening place? I pay EUR 5 per knife two to three times a year, and my knives are always sharp.
Dull knives are dangerous and make prep real chore.
False flag crossed my mind as well, but it would require an absolutely massive conspiracy between federal, local LE, and some very dumb hicks that simply could not happen unnoticed.
I understand your sentiment internet friend. It made me insane too (and I have dual citizenship and have lived outside the States for a very long time).
But with the recent SCOTUS rulings + the planning that went into P25, this time is truly, uniquely different. If Trump wins this time, it is game over for any future ways to save democracy and anyone but cis, white, het Xian men and the women who remain subservient to them. There will be no "close your eyes and think of England" for four years then back to normal. There will be no way back to normal for generations.
So my thought is that anything, anything that gets the attention of even one more prospective Dem voter is ok.
While it’s all fine and good to just say “hire the right people”, that’s a gross oversimplification.
I'd say it's combination of chemistry and luck. I have one position that, thank god, it now filled with a really cool dude who took the job based on the flexibility it offers, but I've been here five years and had six people in that role before he came along. Then I have a lady who, on paper, didn't look very qualified, but she came across as confident and honest in her interview. I've promoted her three times in four years. All that was a combination of the interview chemistry plus a ton of luck.
And yes, they are all indeed smarter than me in multiple ways! The other managers are insanely jealous of my team. I guess I, for once in my life, got lucky!
Eh, there are a few spots that it certainly feels like it, especially the Frisian islands.
