  • Strange. Working with tourists in the US, you can't get Europeans to NOT tell you where they're from. Pretty much everyone who speaks English will tell you where they're from and even the ones who don't usually still do.

    I think its a subconscious need to feel like people are interested in you as you are in them.

Adversarial language or not, the average Lemmy users is so far in their own social phobia that they don't register that most humans, being social animals, thrive with MORE interaction and not less.

  • Nah I just don't think blatantly unsafe behavior which reflects poorly on the rest of the cyclists should be cheered on just because the person who is filming is a moron. They clearly didn't set up this ride to shutdown the full street so everyone should be on the correct side of the road.

  • If they were also on a bike would the cyclists suddenly be unsafe? No, being on the wrong side of the road is unsafe. Idk why that's hard to understand, especially in a protest that's supposed to promote safer biking conditions. People riding into oncoming traffic is exactly the justification assholes are using for ripping out bike lanes. Shit people just follow the rules of the road.
