Born 1983, He/him, Danish AuDD introvert that's surfed the internet since he was a teen (1996 onwards).

  • It's funny how I saw Lou Bega live in 1999 and didn't even think it was that big of a deal at the time because it was just a small Danish venue.. Another Pérez Prado song I think of when I think of trumpets is Mambo no 8 from Office Space.

  • Seemingly 2 other people worked on it as well, one from Red Hat and one from Intel.

    Also bear this in mind:

All the user-space utilities hard-depend on systemd. Without systemd, you’d need to write your own utilities that make use of my kernel patches. Something needs to manage cgroups in your system, and that something needs to enable the right cgroup controllers and set the right limits (see also the long-winded explanation about how this works).

  • Linkedln being a walled garden just makes this funnier to me.

  • Real

  • Don't worry. If us humans showed up on Kepler-452b tomorrow and it had a breathable atmosphere, those lakes would probably be gone in a few hundred years.

  • I guess she never thought about how moon cycles work. But also, one could've probably told her that the reason it was light was because they went up there during the day (which is technically true from the perspective of the moon).

One thing I hadn't really thought of before was the reason as to why one side of the moon is always facing earth, aka tidal locking, so that was a fun read.

  • That was such a good read. As a European who began playing FPS games in the 90s and just picked up the language of the community including words like "frag" and "fragging", I never really understood where it came from.

  • instead of refining and transporting the gold, it opted to sell the bars and purchase new bullion in Europe.

    And

BdF Governor Francois Villeroy de Galhau said the decision to keep the new bars in Paris is “not politically motivated,”

    Stood out to me.

  • Glad you've enjoyed the switch. In late 2023 I saw the writing on the wall as well, what with Windows 10 ending support in late 2025, and I made the switch in early 2024. I thought for sure that 2026 would be the year of Linux as well, because why would anyone stick with Windows even when it was just forcing users to throw out computers without the right version of TPM, but also following with all the AI nonsense and recall and whatnot.

  • The style is very "Charlie the Unicorn" coded, I like it.. Although I don't know if unicorns can vomit or not, so not sure if applicable.

  • They moved heaven and earth to prevent pro-Palestinian group Kneecap from playing, but they can't stop a fascist? Classic.

The replacement act for Kneecap at Glastonbury 2025, Bob Vylan, gave us this nugget btw.

  • Maybe tuesday due to easter.

  • Best of luck.

  • It's curious how Denmark, Norway and Finland ended up with Vipps Mobilepay while Sweden was left out.

  • When I hear the name I think of the song, that's about it.

  • never gonna give you up

    I'm not a monster!

  • Ahh, good ol' Download Accelerator Plus (DAP). Multi-segmented downloading with pause and resume capabilities meant the world on a 56k modem. 15 minutes just to download Bloodhound Gang - The Bad Touch as MP3.

  • Remember when Martin Shkreli was thrown in jail for hiking the price of medicine by 5555%? That was 2017, but when something like this happens in 2026 nobody bats an eye.
