  • I agree. I can understand the technology being classified, but not the knowledge of the existence of said technology.

  • I haven't had a chance to listen to this yet, as "Need to Know" and this podcast both dropped roughly around the same time. I'll try to come back and edit my post with my thoughts.

  • The eminent domain portions are likely to be adjusted to allow private entities to keep the alleged retrieved materials. I'm not sure how I feel about that, but overall, I'm optimistic about this passing.

  • I'm reserving judgment for now. I believe that once Grusch briefs Congress members in a SCIF, they will have access to those names.

  • I appreciate the kind words!

  • With regard to figuring out the Phenomenon and what we're dealing with...we're stuck at home plate. Almost all of our ideas are theories and opinions. Which ones are correct? Which ones are nonsense? Don't know.

    I'm in agreement with this.

  • I hope you have a lot of patience! Enjoy the ride, wherever it leads.

  • Even if it isn’t ETs the answers would still be cool, surely?

I try not to interject my personal beliefs into discussions, as I don't feel it's appropriate as a mod. I'd rather just help facilitate discussion. However, I wouldn't be surprised if this phenomenon represents something far more profound than ET.

I do agree with you, though. It doesn't matter what the actual answer is. Something is going on, and any answer would be interesting regardless.

  • I'll exhale after I know it has happened, but at least we have a tentative date!

  • This article is a summary of the unclassified UAP report from AARO.

Some key points noted by reddit user CreditCardOnly.

    • Sensor calibration will assist in differentiating true UAP from prosaic explanations.
    • AARO is working to declassify more “full-motion videos.”
    • AARO is closely collaborating with Space Force, US Space Command, NRO, and NASA to review reports in air, space, and sea.

Interesting points made by reddit user adam_n_eve.

Some UAP reports involved objects that “potentially exhibited one or more concerning performance characteristics such as high-speed travel or unusual maneuverability,”

The report also states that none of the UAP reports from the period in question have been directly linked to foreign activities by any U.S. adversaries or other state actors.

Insufficient data from various sensors and other collection platforms “can cause observational misperceptions,” the report adds, noting that as better data is collected over time, “most UAP will likely resolve to ordinary phenomena and significantly reduce the amount of UAP case submissions.”

“only a very small percentage of UAP reports display interesting signatures, such as high-speed travel and unknown morphologies.”

so as we all thought. MOST of the UAPs probably could be explained if they had sufficient data and they dont actually show any "exotic" properties. But it's the "small percentage" that we've always been interested in and at last they're admitting that these things have "concerning performance", that they aren't from russia / china etc and that even with better data they'd not be able to resolve what they are.

So what are we left with other than what we've all thought they are from day 1?

  • Thanks for sharing! Unfortunately, and as expected, I agree with you.

    Edit: Corrected grammar.

  • Interesting that Dr. Kirkpatrick had this to say in regards to David Grusch's claims.

Kirkpatrick dismissed the sensational claims, saying he has “no evidence that suggests anything extraterrestrial in nature.”

“If anybody thinks that they know where those things are, they should be coming to talk to us,” said Kirkpatrick. “That’s why we have set up this entire architecture for people to securely come in and talk to us.”

This seems to directly contradict David Grusch's claims that he brought forth the information to Dr. Kirkpatrick, but Dr. Kirkpatrick never got back to Mr. Grusch.

  • That's a great point as well.

  • I thoroughly enjoy reading all the comments and differing perspectives. However, I feel obligated to remind everyone to remain civil. There may be an urge to "feel" intellectually superior to the person with whom you are disagreeing, but please try to keep egos in check. This topic is a roller coaster, so more than anything, enjoy the ride.

  • There's a lot of "reading between the lines" in this. I also found it interesting that Dr. Lacatski is not in favor of disclosure. I'm sure his stance is based on national security, as he has been deeply ingrained and invested in the defense department/contractors for likely his entire career, but it was interesting nonetheless.

  • I found it intriguing that Dr. James Lacatski discussed how the current situation in Peru mirrors the Colares attacks in the 1970s.

  • I came across this video. Although it doesn't look exactly the same as what is in the video, it does lend credence to the object in the video being a balloon.

  • You aren’t a very good judge of things from the look of it.

I'm sorry you feel that way.

  • They likely won’t be able to divulge what will be said in there, but they could find information to help the public connect the dots.

This is my hope as well.
