  • The big issue here is they're being treated as criminals who committed violent crimes and it's a disgusting sight for everyone involved except racists. A lot of these people are innocent people, some who have been here for over 15-20 years and have entire lives and families in the US.

    That's why most of the talks here were around Colombia sending their Presidential plane to pick up their citizens. They weren't rejecting the people, they were rejecting the way in which it was done.

    Mexico is also doing similar things rejecting military aircraft, but still allowing the deliver of Undocumented immigrants. Sheinbaum has also been preaching a lot on welcoming everyone home, most of LATAM has had the same perspective from what I've read and seen.

  • I know ads are very hated here, but I wouldn't be against an ad at a reasonable cadence to increase sustainability. Then create a pro version that gets rid of ads that's like $2-5 a month or $30 a year. The real problem is the exploitation of this system like Reddit/Insta feeding an ad every other post. Or Twitter charging nearly $13 a month for a check mark.

    The sync app got so much hate for having ads during the original migration, but a lot of us here are devs and we should definitely get paid for our effort and be able to maintain our infrastructure without our of pocket money.

    If on day 1 of a presidency you can effectively have nationwide ICE raids and deportations, the previous administration allowed and helped in that in at least some capacity.

    If anyone's interested this is a solid research paper that discusses this in more detail. Sativa and indica effectively mean nothing nowadays, terpenes are the true tell. It also talks about claimed terpenes and whether they existed in products purchased and how often each terpene pops up.

    To be fair this can be applied to any multiplayer vs game. Once youve removed your own bad time from the equation it's a pretty fun competitive experience.
