  • “Maybe she experienced it differently”

    • Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada and self proclaimed male feminist
  • You’re just learning how to become an adult

Sounds normal to me, growing up brings a lot of changes and responsibilities that you aren’t used to. We all go through it and find our way.

  • The funny thing is that you probably think you get news legitimately.

But the truth is that it’s all propaganda. The only difference between CNN and Fox, or reddit/Twitter/Facebook, is the angle.

    But it’s all bullshit.

‘News’ doesn’t exist anymore, instead of just giving the facts, every article tries to tell you what you should think.

  • I still sign up for websites with the following credentials:

Joe Blow 6969 Penetration Ave Beverly Hills, California 90210

  • Shouldn’t trust Twitter users either, they’ll take an out of context joke you made back in 2011 and ruin your life over it.

Honestly, just fuck talking to people online. Literal no good will ever come of it. I’m just gonna stop communicating with people.

This shit is so dumb, no upside, only downsides

  • I’ve been in the workforce for 30 years. I’ve never seen anything even close to this happen anywhere I have worked, I haven’t heard stories about it from my friends either.

    But we aren’t tech bros.

The circumstantial evidence seems to suggest that the tech industry has a big problem with this kind of sexual assault and sexual harassment. Why? I have no idea.

But that industry needs to take account of this and hold themselves to a higher standard. Getting support for this is probably hard for lemmy users because many of them are probably tech bros themselves and possibly blind to this sort of thing happening in their workplaces too.

Def seems like the rumblings around tech culture and sexism has some teeth though

  • Tech bros being sexist, gropey scumbags

    I’m shocked

  • What makes you think it’s ‘simply existing’? It’s providing a rare and valuable service to people who value the service.

There isn’t a lot of parking in Toronto.

If you think a person should make more for doing less, you’re way out of touch with reality. Even under communism the government expects you to be at least somewhat useful.

I don’t know where this idea came from that a person just simply existing entitles them to a certain income given to them by other people who are actually providing enough value that they can subsidize your lack of value.

Just be useful, it’s society. If no one was useful we’d all be fucked. What makes you so special that you can be supported by everyone else?

  • No disrespect, but you’re struggling pretty hard with real it’s here.

  • Have you ever been to a big city?

  • You’re going to a Toronto maple leafs game and you’re smart enough to not live in the city, you have a couple choices.

Park at yorkdale and take the subway, or try to find a place to park near the arena.

Or you can park further away and pay less and walk if you don’t waste too much time in traffic getting downtown.

You need to pay a lot to park at the airport too, catch your plane, go on your vacation and then have the convenience of getting right in your car and driving home, not trying to arrange someone to come pick you up and drop you off.

  • You are less useful to society than a parking space

Man, that’s rough. She should try contributing more value than a parking space does.

  • Capitalism works. There are markets who will pay for these and that’s why they are made. That’s what capitalism is.

If not for capitalism, these games wouldn’t even exist.

Now, the issue I think you’re worried about is that people begrudgingly pay for the game when they don’t really want to. Or pay more than they want to for it.

    That’s not capitalism, that’s FOMO.

People make a ton of shit everyday that I don’t buy. But obviously someone is out there paying for this shit, or it wouldn’t be being made.

What do I care, or what do you care about it enough to even address?

If people don’t buy it, it either gets cheaper or it’s not made at all. So just don’t buy it. I haven’t bought a sports game in 20 years because of this. But they keep making them and people keep complaining about them.

Complain about yourselves, it’s not capitalism, it’s the consumers.

  • Evil Dead

  • Non-human intelligence has been around on earth for a very long time and the government knows a lot more about them than they would have us believe

  • Don’t lie, that’s bad advice. Instead, be honest just like you been here.

Tell them “I’ve owned my own business for the last several years, but covid hit me pretty hard. I haven’t had a manager that I’m still in contact with prior to those years”

  • Get a pair of momentum true wireless 3’s

    And then, yes you can

  • You’re right, but these kids will never admit it.

They don’t know that words have actual meanings, they just use them incorrectly often enough that they forget
