  • I have a lifetime pass already but I’ve been souring on the app as they changed direction.

Previously it was the best app for running your own personal streaming service. It lets you share your library with friends and it even had its own group watch feature allowing multiple people to watch the same stream together. It was perfect for remote friends and family, brilliant during Covid…. And they removed it for no obvious reason.

Now the company spends more and more time trying to promote their own ad-laden video streams, they want us to rate movies and presumably sell that data. The company lost its way.

Lifetime Plex was still worth it with those features at $200, not at $750. If I had to do it all over again I’d probably use JellyFin.

  • Even peaceful protest is too much for Israelis to handle. They shoot Palestinians for nonviolent protest. They shoot Palestinians for not leaving their homes. They called it “diplomatic terrorism” when Palestinians went to the UN to complain and slapped sanctions on Palestinians.

When you do this, you make violent conflict inevitable. Netanyahu knows this and does it anyway. He wants that outcome.

  • Who said people are listening more to Trump? They’re certainly not taking him seriously despite his yelling to cameras and posting in caps.

And Iran DID agree to stop for a ceasefire. Remember they were the ones first attacked and demanded the US stop bombing them in order to discuss peace despite the Trump bragging that peace talks were a ruse to get soldiers in place.

  • As Trump liked to say to his opponents, he doesn’t have the cards.

  • They were attacked and Trump is talking about and actually bombing their infrastructure, making the other side’s infrastructure fair game. Iran has had a No First Strike policy meaning they committed to not fighting anyone unless attacked first and Iran had not invaded another country or started a war in over 200 years.

  • Comma AI can do it with far far less.

  • Why should they when the US broke the last deal made?

  • It’s being reported that Trump’s inner circle are hiding facts from him. They show him videos of airstrikes and big explosions, but he had no idea that Iranians had struck US planes until he saw it in the media.

This is what happens when Trump replaced all competent people with yes-men.

If he doesn’t know its going badly and Fox is praising him, what incentive does he have to stop?

  • If you can understand Arabic the father gave an interview and it’s on YouTube and X.

  • Put more pressure on Congress. They really aren’t getting enough lately, honestly. They could assert their war powers at any moment.

  • USAID was a miniscule amount of money but “too much” to spend, and this endless war is a small price to pay?

  • The first Trump shutdown in the first term happened because Trump scrapped the existing Republican/Democrat deal made in Congress and demanded that there also be cuts to legal immigration in addition to the agreed-upon wall funding and increased ICE budget.

“Trump’s policy doesn’t make sense so it must be fake news” is a bad way to cope with reality. He broke his campaign promise, simple as that.

  • Stephen Miller and a number of GOP leaders are demanding that legal immigration be frozen or reduced.

  • Intel set up shop in Israel long ago, but I’m still boycotting. At least we have AMD as an alternative.

  • And you continue to ignore what I said the first time and continue on preaching nonsense.

  • Sepp of all people, when he's saying this you know things are much much worse.

  • That’s not what they voted for.

It’s a weird world where you blame the public for not voting for a flawed candidate rather than the candidate for not being flawed. It’s like blaming an audience for not laughing at the comedian on stage.

Harris made a conscious choice to avoid pandering to certain constituencies (in hopes it would pay off by gaining conflicted Republican voters) and that gamble went wrong as people warned it would.

  • That’s the point, it will turn into Iraq. And mercenaries will still require congressional authorization.

  • There’s been polling analysis that showed if you forced everyone to vote then Harris would have lost to Trump by an even bigger margin due to the unpopularity of the administration at the time. Nonvoters didn’t make a difference. Michigan was won by Trump by a bigger margin than all college students or Arabs or Muslims or any other minority group in the state.
