  • I don't ignore, re-gift or discard any gifts, at least not immediately. But it's extremely rare to satisfy me with a gift. It only happens when they know exactly what I'd have purchased myself in near future or if the person behind the gift means so much to me. Other than that, I prefer to not receive any gifts at all.

  • Because a lot of people live in countries where "so many people will just straight up murder everybody who doesn't share their politics".

  • Being able to find a solution instead of a huge amount of bloat is Linux specific.

  • Every time I see the example of people used to Twitter complaining about Mastodon's UX and UI, the experience of using the Twitter app and the constant struggle of figuring out whether the non-sense anomaly you see is a bug or just a feature to keep you locked in is becoming an even more painful memory...

  • I'd rather die. But while we're at it, I'll make it my goal to get everyone to vote against me. The world will at least have a taste of unity against a common enemy for once. It shouldn't be difficult anyway.

  • You can be interested in a subject without loving everything (/anything) about it.

More variety than AI hate here definitely sounds nice. But a broad term like "technology" is more likely to attract the big trending topics, that are most likely hated.

  • I often get dreams about watching the movie and being disappointed.

  • Those I watched:

    1. Pulp Fiction
    2. Django Unchained
    3. Reservoir Dogs
    4. Inglorious Bastards
    5. The Hateful Eight
    6. Jackie Brown
    7. Kill Bill 2
    8. Kill Bill
    9. Once upon a time in Hollywood
  • We don't celebrate Christmas. It took me very long to realize that there are children who actually believe in Santa.

  • I can't speak for all people, but I just don't want Hollywood to add an unwanted aftertaste to my favorite movies. Other than that, they can do whatever they want as long as I can ignore it.

  • I'm exactly that young person. I won't be even able to consume every work of art I'm interested in. That's both sad and amazing.

  • Me, too. But that's why I prefer to say that realistic graphics in particular are not important. Because it's heartbreaking when breathtaking pixel-art, that took a lot of hard work, is treated like an afterthought or even a weakness T_T

  • I see. The first response to a pro-vegetarian/vegan comment is usually about the harm done to other organisms that we can't avoid. Thus I wanted to clarify in advance that my goal is not the ideal world, but a world where we at least don't eat what we wouldn't kill ourselves.

Oh, I remove the default upvote, because I don't see the point of it.

  • I guess the desire to eat less meat somehow implies that I'm eating meat everyday? But thanks, I'll keep that in mind, if I ever forget how to eat vegetables.

  • I eat meat. And I eat it without thinking too much about it. But I believe I should stop normalizing it and I should be more aware of the life behind the food. Sure, I can't avoid harming any lives, but I should be able to be aware of the harm I'm doing and to reduce unnecessary harm. I am afraid how worthless my empathy actually is in the battle against the customs.

  • For many people, drag-and-drop website builders or CMS, that incorporate the ability of creating websites with almost no coding capabilities, would be enough to create the website they need. It's more bloated and restricted, but I'd definitely consider it accessible to the layman. It's not a literally no-brainer solution like AI, but I consider that a feature.

  • That sounds wonderful to me, as long as you have fun with your favorite games and the other content. You save a lot of money and, more importantly, time.

  • I don't pursue friendships. I let them happen. "How would those happen?" They don't happen.
