  • Absolutely the same for me.

    I have never, to my recollection, needed a large but niche packet that isn't either clearly reputable (wisdom of the masses) or verified by someone who's reputation is crucial (e.g. Microsoft).

    I have on on many occasions used a small niche package though that was just a time saver. Something where I could either invest significant time in rolling my own solution out, or spend considerably less time checking out a small repo.

  • I agree. It's a good rule for a larger community, but I think being enforced so early will only harm growth. And yes, I know growth is not necessarily the main goal - but we surely want enough initial growth to hit that critical mass that sustains a reasonable level of activity?

  • I've played the hell out of this game, and long been a fan of the developer's articles on game development. He's pretty active on the Reddit roguelike development sub (one of which hasn't really sprung up on Lemmy yet, as far as I can tell).

  • I have moved all my domains to Porkbun.

    They are nearly always the cheapest when I compare, and they offer a good service.
