  • I'm not Tabooki2, I'm only here for the intresting dicussions and different view points and arguments. What stuck with me was the Tabooki2 asked if you believed what was stated in your link to which you responded with "the burden of proof is on you".

    When a claim is stated, the burden of proof is on that person. My argument here was that you claimed a source, and if proof has to be provided the claimer should have that burden. But that is a strange take since a a source is a proof and one can chose to trust it (or not).

    So in the end, I was confused about your comment and tought you asked Tabooki2 to verify your source for you, not the original claim about "the treatment of wighurs". I appologise for the confusion on my part.

    I would not say that this is the problem. More in the lines of whataboutism?You want to discuss something and other people (often men in the case of feminism, again, in my experience), tries to whataboutism their counterpart (for example a femenist) to make their counterparts arguments invalid in some way.

    Back to OP's comic, here is a real world example: https://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-46622772. Emma Knyckare (a Swedish comedian) organized a festival that was "male-free".

    The Sweden's Discrimination Ombudsman (DO) said that describing an event as "male-free" breached the country's anti-discrimination laws.

    I agree with you on this, but we don't now the constraints of OP. Perhaps the mentioned clients need access. Ask instead of assume.

    I have no problem with other people's level of knowledge, be it greater or lesser than mine. I have a problem with how you conveyed your message. Here is how you could have phrased it instead, as an example of what I meant with "be nicer".

    Learn the command line, it will more than likley be of great help in the future. Better now than never.

    Also, talking about burden of proof here makes not sense. You provided a source, one can either trust it or not. And the question was if you belived it to be true or not (which I assume you do since you linked it. I haven't read it).
