  • Never heard of it before this comment but the steam page looks interesting. I’ll look into it more, thanks!

  • That game looks stunning. I’m very interested in checking it out

  • That’s the best way to do creepy imo. Not immediately in your face or done in a horror-type way but more subtle.

  • Duly noted, I’ll be checking it out. Thanks.

  • Thank you!

Yeah, I know there’s a lot of people who say Bloodborne is the best one. Maybe after I 100% the Dark Souls trilogy I’ll buy a PS4 and Bloodborne. It’s probably the most interesting looking game I’ve ever not played. This sounds kinda stupid but I bought the VaatiVidya painted world Displate a few months back and I want to “get” all the Easter eggs he put in there. I also just love the rest of the SoulsBorne games. Dark Souls, Elden Ring, and Sekiro are all some of my favourite games of all time.

I’m also in a bit of an advantage in that I haven’t had any of Bloodborne spoiled for me, like, at all. I know basically nothing about the game, which is exciting.

  • Oh interesting! Very different than anything I’ve heard suggested so far. It looks super cool!

  • That sounds really cool. I’ll definitely be taking a look, thanks.

  • “Don’t go to Dark Bramble” is the only thing I’ve heard about that game, other than a general idea of what the game is. It does sound intriguing though, I might have to play it

  • That’s fair. I personally love the things it asks me to git gud at so that’s probably why I enjoyed the game so much.

  • Funny, I think of the combat system as the best I’ve ever experienced. It forces you to be good at it. The rush I feel after beating a boss is unmatched because of that. At least in Dark Souls/Elden Ring I can over-level to make it easier but there’s none of that in Sekiro. I’m required to get good, which means when I beat a boss I know I did well.

I also think the fight against Owl at the top of Ashina castle is probably my favourite fight in the game. That or the one with the Guardian Ape. No rush compares to when I finally killed the final boss on NG+ though, that was one of the best feelings I’ve ever experienced playing a game. Probably the absolute best actually. It was incredible.

  • I’ve never heard of either of those but they look really interesting. One of the better suggestions on here, based on pictures at least. I’ll definitely be checking both of those out, thank you.

  • Fair. There are some advantages to playing games at the time they were popular for sure. I’m a little bit younger though and Halo CE was my first ever video game so I didn’t really experience Half-Life as a brand new game

  • I also like how much freedom you get in Morrowind. The game just lets you do whatever you want. It invites you to break it apart more than any game I’ve ever seen. And then on top of that, the environment is just spectacular. I really Souls sink some time into it. I really want to 100% the Dark Souls trilogy before I do much else though, and I only just got to Anor Londo in Dark Souls 1 so I’ve got a ways to go yet. Plus a ton of suggestions on here, and Starfield in September, and I’ll be jumping back into Elden Ring for the DLC whenever that drops. But Morrowind needs to happen. If only I had more time.

  • It certainly looks interesting. I’ll consider it for sure, thanks!

  • Funny, most people I’ve spoken to have had the opposite experience. They could get into Souls/Bloodborne/Elden Ring easily enough but not Sekiro. Sekiro definitely took me the longest to get into but once I got into it, it became my favourite game very quickly. I’m going through all the SoulsBorne games and 100% completing them all so maybe my opinions will change, I’ve only 100%-ed Elden Ring and Sekiro, but I’m currently on Dark Souls and going to do the other two afterwards, so one of those might take the cake. I also feel like if I had a PS4 my favourite would be Bloodborne but it’s hard to say. Sekiro is just so good

  • I’ve got Bloodlines so I might do that one soon. I’ve seen it recommended a couple times. Control is the one I’ve seen recommended the most, by a pretty large margin, so I’ll probably do Control and then Bloodlines

  • I want to play Bloodborne so bad. If they weren’t so expensive I’d buy a PS5 just to play Bloodborne and the Demon’s Souls remake. I do have access to OG Demon’s Souls through PS3 emulation and I’ve put in a few hours but I’m going to try to 100% the Dark Souls trilogy first. If they ever port Bloodborne to pc though I’m buying it in a heartbeat it looks fantastic.

I’m aware I could buy a PS4 for Bloodborne and I do consider it sometimes. I recently got a pretty big promotion/raise at work so maybe now would be a good time to treat myself.

  • Oh good. I’ll check it out then, in that case. Thanks!

  • It’s on sale for super cheap so I’ve added it to my cart. I’ll buy it in the next day or two. Thanks for the recommendation! It looks really good
