  • Hey! I can chime in here! I studied Chinese and business like 10 years ago (so my knowledge might be a bit outdated) so I can provide a bit of context.

    A lot of workers from rural China has limited work opportunities or would earn very little. So what they do is they'd migrate to bigger cities where they'd be able to work at factories (like the one in this pic) at a higher wage and more hours. Then they send their wage home. Some things that surprised me was that in many cases the workers themselves would request long hours, to earn more, and that they'd likely only go home for the big holidays like lunar New year

  • I reckon work life balance would be nicer in Scandinavia but I love the canals, lots of plants in the cities, and the food of Netherlands. I've had an amazing time every time I've been there!

  • From a person who has been divorced once, and seen other friends get divorced. it's not so much about choosing carefully, it's about communication when the relationship gets tough or boring (and ideally before you get there). Finding the right person is the easy part, staying in love and staying happy - that's the difficult part

    as long as the do not violate the law

    i guess you might have cases where people can't consent, like if one person in the relationship is underage, or mentally handicapped, or the like. Where you'd run into problems if you just announce "everyone can love anybody". Guess there might be other similar cases?
