  • I laughed. Well done.

  • I blocked most news communities. Stuff slips through, but I don’t really have the mental capacity to care about it.

  • Seems to be the same person too!

  • Strikethrough, you can get them like ~~this~~

  • Same here!

  • Books exist, but I don’t think most people are spending their time reading up for post-apocalyptic survival tips.

  • Python: What if everything was indented?

Haskell: What if everything was formally proven?

Java: What if everything was stupidly verbose?

JSON: What if everything was JSON?

  • That’s the main issue with premature optimization: do it the “optimized” way and it may still be inefficient, or do it the obvious way and let the compiler turn it into its most optimized form. (Of course, not the case with all languages, but most mainstream compilers optimize the code to a decent extent.)

  • That’s what I was thinking too… Although, I wouldn’t be surprised if most languages convert modulo 2 to this automatically.

  • Yeah, that’s all true, but who really needs that kind of power?

For some people it’s worth it. For most people? Probably not.

IMHO the MacBook Airs and the M1/2 MBPs are looking pretty good right now.

  • Alternatively, you can save a key and use :x (And :q! to quit without saving)

Yeah, that’s such a Vim user thing to say :P

  • Yeah. Most of the time I use comments in my algorithms, as they often use some weird optimized black magic which are difficult to understand without comments.

  • Use an app? I use Voyager and it’s a really smooth experience, and I haven’t re-logged in since I first got it.
