    Ever heard of Mormons "soaking?" LOL:

    They think of it as a loophole to get around the whole "no sex before marriage" thing.

    I learned about the Shakers and Quakers back in elementary school but can't remember much about them. I didn't know they were celibate. So I looked into it and there are only 3 left in the U.S.

    A new person has joined the last active Shaker community in the U.S, bringing the Christian, communal, and celibate group to a total of three. They once numbered in the thousands.

  • I don't disagree with you about AGI but the timeframe is the big question. Will it come in a decade or a century? Impossible to know.

    I have no doubts that AGI will eventually arrive unless we blow ourselves up

    I was just about to say the same thing! I'm guessing it will take a bit longer than a decade and I'm not too optimistic about our chances of surviving that long. Well, at least surviving with all of our technology intact.
