From a cursory glance, it looks like Amazon Linux 2 did not meet the minimum system requirements for a new version of VScode. In this situation, is only one party at fault? Is VScode to blame for not ensuring their software works with as many machines as possible, or is it Amazon Linux's issue for not bundling updated drivers? Or is it a bit of both?
As a hobbyist, Godot is probably the most "fun" engine I've worked in. The software itself feels like a toy, similar to Gamemaker (at least from what I remember when I used it like 10 years ago as a kid lol). Coming from C# background, using GDscript wasn't as bad as I thought, and making small projects in a weekend has really itched the problem-solving part in my brain. I'm trying to re-create popular flash games that I remember playing back in the day and seeing what improvements I can make.
If you have 12 hours of idle time, there's a fantastic video on The Phantom Menace that really added to my appreciation for it. Bread Circus is amazing
