  • That happens to me. I cut out caffeine for a few weeks when that happens and it goes back to normal.

  • If I get up later there won't be enough daylight left at the end of the day to do anything. I'd get up even earlier if I could.

  • I would do absolutely anything to get 8 hours of sleep in 4 hours.

  • It's not subsidized if it runs at cost.

  • How do we not let them. They're buying both sides and rigging things to exclude everyone else from contention.

  • Godzilla Minus One

  • Too late. That should have never been a thing in the first place. It's common sense that it would be a problem.

  • I watched a video once and it was like 17 steps to do it so I couldn't actually follow it. I did get the put the corners inside each other part though, and if you do that it gets you at least somewhat folded enough to stack with the rest of them.

  • I could see it help with discriminating between people at their “own damn computers” and bots or misinformation/psyops campaigns run out of certain foreign countries though (assuming any ID also ties back to parent country).

It won't unless they can prevent people from stealing IDs. Which they can't.

  • Or we could just let people do what they want on their own god damn computers.

  • No can do, somebody accidentally sent a reply all email to our entire region this morning and now everyone else feels responsible for telling them they fucked up, or for telling those people to stop responding to the first person.

  • I got accused of mansplaining because I was helping someone on a tech support call (they were taking the call to support a user, and I was assisting them) and I started with the basic information they'd need to understand the problem and how to fix it. After the call she turned around to the guy next to her and complained about it and he was just like, "oh, no, he's like that with everyone".

My philosophy was based on the fact that our managers hired people for people skills over technical background because they assumed the tech stuff could be trained and that if someone was asking me for help there was a gap in their knowledge somewhere and I had no way to know where it was other than to begin at the beginning and work through it. Most people appreciated it. But some were full of themselves and got pissed about it, those types typically didn't last very long on that job.

  • I don't have kids and have no intention to do so.

  • How has this guy not had his ass beat for being cringe yet?

  • Presidents can be sworn in on whatever they want. At least one has used something else, although I don't recall who or what it was.

  • If everyone kept right when not passing like we're supposed to there would be no "changing lanes willy nilly". If you get passed on the right neither you or someone in front of you is fucking up.

  • WITNESS ME

  • I recently took up sewing so I could repair my clothes. That's been really satisfying and it's nice because I can pick it up and put it down at will and it isn't difficult so I can just kind of zone out and do it when I'm stressed out from other shit.

  • I built a Bluetooth receiver for my car for $12. It worked great for like 3 months til the janky electrical connector I made vibrated apart. I've been meaning to fix it but I need to find out how to identify the type of connector I need to plug into the aux connector on my car so it will actually hold up. It was a fun project though.
