  • I agree with all your points except

    1. They run worse than Firefox based browsers in my experience

It has been proven many times chrome is better optimized on android vs firefox. If I didn't care about addons, privacy and the bottom navigation bar i would be using a chromium fork. They are that fast and bugfree especially on graphics heavy websites. The lag and speed difference is very much noticeable on low-end and midrange phones. Infact i was daily driving bromite until it stopped getting updated.

  • TL;DR

    • Samsung has completed its investigation into an incident that sent tech creator Daniel (@ZONEofTECH) to the hospital last year.
    • The company states that the swelling in Daniel’s Galaxy Ring was caused by a crack in its internal molding, not the battery.
    • Samsung and an independent agency both reached the same conclusion.

Maybe, staying off smart rings would be a wise move.Considering, the safety implication and the tight contact with your person from this device.

  • Most people including adults don't use AI to learn. They just use it to format emails, messages, generate things or do other stuff.

  • Everyone dismissed this phone probably without reading the article. But, the concept, the UI and the ability to tweak the privacy according to your needs seems reasonable.

The protons apps loaded in the vault do not rely on firebase push notifications. Also, the subscription may sound absurd but maybe for someone who does not want to pay with data and wants a usable device it could be decent.

  • Lockglimpse is just glance on samsung, xiaomi and other chinese phones.

  • Can't you check for AVIF support in the summit app? Android 12 had added native supporte for AVIF IIRC.

    [2026] Roadmap

    Jump
  • Wow, now this is one comprehensive roadmap. Offline mode in the spirit of redreader would be superb. Looking forward to seeing new versions and their features.

  • I get this bug on my realme phone once a while. But, instead of a restart. I force stop the keyboard app to fix the issue.

  • If you use a password manager like keepassDX. It can save authcodes

  • Yes! I'm using a new keyboard app which can be a bit finicky.

  • It's desirable if you want to browse diverse, niche and interesting communities without the bias of community size.

  • HTTPS filtering in adguard requires the installation of a user certificate by adguard to filter HTTPS traffic. Apps like firefox complain and won't work unless you allow user CA

  • I don't use a filter. I subscribe to communities that interest me. Keep NSFW posts turned off. browse by hot, scaled and multi cummonies related to tech and all that I like.

  • Voyager also has a setting where it can track the number of times you upvote posts & comments from users.

  • If you sort by Scaled. Posts will be sorted by community size and smaller communities will not get drowned by larger ones.

Edit: added the missing 'not' word.

  • This wouldn't work and be moot because phones and other devices are purchased by parents and guardians not children.

If you are saying the code should be changed by parents to access social media with default off. It would be difficult for most people due to low levels of tech literacy

  • Cleverkeys. Super customizable, offline. 1st gestures keyboard powered by neural networks.

  • There is no such thing as anonymous data. It has been proven all data can be linked to you. The only data that is anonymous is the one they don't collect.
