  • And that's what makes this bad. A game that's perfectly playable and even has a community is taken away by greedy Ubisoft. This should be illegal.

  • "Jarvis"

  • French 80s cars are the most 80s cars.

  • This is important. Some people just aren't aware of the massive privacy violations that are going on, so the education system should teach them and show how good FOSS is compared to crap like sharepoint.

  • How is pulling the entire image because of this acceptable in any way? Slap a fat warning on the site if you want, but don't throw off people's schedule by doing this.

  • KDE for me. As much as I hate windows, I like the floating windows, task bar and tray. KDE has that out of the box and lets me tweak all the little annoyances away.

  • Ah yes, I love reading stuff and piping the infornation straight to the void.

  • Agreed, if the game is still playable on other machines it's a graphics problem.

In any case, it's java so the server should autosave and you can add mods for backups.

  • So if I understand correctly, you define the border of piracy as the technicality of websites where the HTML and JS are accessible as opposed to a binary that comes with built-in DRM.

How do you think about DRM-free games?

  • When did I say piracy was wrong?

In this case it's apparently the only option.

  • Exxon won't give a shit, but apple probably will. Half of their marketing is greenwashing, so they'll have to think of something new.

Maybe some people will also understand that corporations aren't their friends, but with apple users that's a rather slim chance.

  • How about privacy.com?

It lets you create a virtual credit card for every subscription and the point is that you can cancel those with a single click, but it's also said to be a good way of keeping track of the subscriptions.

  • Ads are the form of payment for the service and using a paid service without paying is piracy. How do you think this is any different?

  • They already have plans to DRM the entire fucking web. That's why I am currently cutting google out of my life step by step.

  • Oh, that's from the installer and not one of those warnings you get after opening apps. Makes sense.

  • I missed that, thanks for pointing it out. The one without S is the correct one.

But that makes me wonder, how did OP not end up with two signal apps then?

  • The package name is correct, but signal was never on F-droid.

Do you have a third party repo that might be compromised?

Edit: Package name isn't correct, so that's almost definitely a compromised version. Get rid of it ASAP.

  • They'd do what they are doing to android. Make it as unusable as possible without their proprietary crap.

  • Thanks, I use KDE on X already (thank you nvidia) and find gnome's design absolutely asinine, so I'll try to fiddle around with the compositor settings.
