  • Gulikit makes controllers with hall effect joysticks that are immune to stick drift. I don't have one of those, but I have their hall effect joysticks for the steam deck and they're very nice.

  • The "bug reports" on here are often worse than not reporting anything. Please read how a proper bug report works before posting.

  • Thanks for the genuine reply. I thought union members trust their union to manage the strike fund well and decide when an actual strike is necessary, but that's apparently not the case.

  • Why would union members ever vote against authorizing a strike?

  • Mine was Windows. It became so bad I decided to say "fuck it, linux might be hard but anything is better than this bullshit".

Now I know that windows isn't just a bad implementation of an OS, it's fundamentally a bad concept. If you can even call that mess a concept.

  • Written like a true businessman that has no idea about software development.

  • Agreed, there's enough room to go two lines down and many up. Android can already go up/down without issues if you have a keyboard with arrow keys, so keyboards would just need to implement the gesture.

IOS also has contextual tab buttons that are very nice. I wish other companies would copy the things apple does well instead of the bullshit they actually copy.

  • It has both by default. If you hold, you get the language selector but if you swipe, it moves the cursor. Gboard also has some acceleration on the swipes which makes them wildly imprecise, now I use florisboard which doesn't do that.

  • That was originally a Gboard feature but it's great, so every decent keyboard supports it now.

  • It's missing one self sealing stem bolt, so I rate it 4/5.

  • This will only get worse, enshittification goes faster and faster. Some companies (like epic with their store) are already skipping the first phase of providing value to users.

The only thing you can do is to use FOSS and hardware with open standards because those are the only things that are safe from enshittification. As a bonus you're also voting with your wallet.

  • You can just add the exe to steam and it'll take care of setting everything up for you.

  • It still supports the pixel 4, which was released 4 years ago. Google stopped supporting it a year ago.

If google does maintain their stuff properly for 8 years, that means grapheneOS will also easily do 8 years, maybe even more.

  • I never noticed, ublock origin seems to be doing its job.

  • As someone in Gen Z, I agree. We're the first generation to grow up in a world where echo chambers are an established concept and a lot of people aren't aware of that.

I actively try to avoid echo chambers and general tribalism and I also try to always look at the matter at hand instead of the people involved, but I still find my debating skills sub-par. The only way to improve those is by practice, so let's hope that Gen Z is just a bit behind due to the pandemic.

  • Yes. If I look at the post it displays just fine, but jerboa crashes as soon as I tap it. Version is 0.47.

Boost has no issues with it.

  • Jeder, der mitdenkt.

  • It's windows. It always does absolutely asinine shit like this. It's only getting worse as time goes on, so the earlier you switch to a proper OS, the better.

  • Klingt nach klassischer deutscher Digitalkompetenz.

Wenn man sich 5 Minuten ernsthaft mit anonymen Notrufen auseinandergesetzt hätte, hätte man das kommen gesehen.
