  • I still have a Wii with a custom launcher and a hard drive full of games lying around. I should use it again, there isn't another game quite like excite truck.

  • Control is great. It's beautiful and atmospheric and tells a great story, but shakes that up with some pure chaos and stuff flying everywhere.

  • That's fair, but a lot of people just don't have wires from their TV to the couch but chargers on the couch, so plugging the controller into that negates the downsides.

  • Approved means licensed in this case. This is a plot to sell those licenses by literally forcing third party manfacturers to buy them.

  • Classic microsoft. They'll say they do it to combat cheating, but it's just another step to lock people into their ecosystem and squeeze more money out of them.

  • Ich habe Jammer auf deutsch gelesen und mich entschieden, das jetzt immer so zu machen.

  • It appears that the formatting is what causes it. The plain link works but the formatted one doesn't. I haven't seen this kind of formatting yet but I think it wouldn't be too hard to add support for it.

  • The end has always justified the means, you just don't say it out loud anymore.

  • Using a phone that doesn't get security updates anymore is negligent. Don't try to make it work, just buy something that has basic security at least.

  • An app that lets you watch stuff from youtube, twitch, patreon, odyssey and more while respecting your privacy and having a better UI than any other streaming app.

  • If we wanted to own the devices we bought, we would have needed to start 20 years ago.

Now it's too late, the only reasonable thing you can do is clawing back control over your device by installing a custom ROM.

  • I agree that creating a culture of sustainability is a good thing, but the example I gave does the exact opposite. It alienates people, especially the ones who now live in fear of going bankrupt when their heating breaks and they aren't allowed to repair it anymore.

  • But that doesn't matter. The real issue is that people heat their homes with oil or gas. Luckily our great leaders are fighting the actual problems! /s

  • I agree, removing them automatically even makes moderation harder if they do it when federating because then the mods can't see what they're moderating.

  • Opening the post in the browser does show the word, so it's lemmy.world that censors it for you.

    It's the N word.

  • It's a good thing they stopped.

Right now any phone's UI is about 10 times faster than windows 11 is on a modern computer. Just imagine a phone that's this slow.

  • It's an MMO, you can't just go out and mod that. You could mod it visually, but that would eat into their profits from the store so it makes sense to not allow that as long as the game gets updates.
