  • It was.

  • *reeks

  • Oh man. I'm pretty sure "genocide studies" classes aren't going to be talking about Obama.

    Bothsidesing indeed.

  • Sure does sound like an unwinnable situation.

I don't trust any of these facilities in any country to give animals this large an appropriate level of care in captivity.

That means it's a question of how much misery the animals should endure to avoid being euthanised. I don't know the answer.

  • The rules about insider trading only exist to make poor people feel better.

  • that's kind of my point though. I've never considered switching because what I've been using is fine.

  • I've been using one of these since forever and it just works. Should I look at the others?

I don't want this to be a "I use x and its the best" type comment so I won't say which one.

I only use wireguard and wouldn't touch openvpn just because it seems so complex in comparisson.

The price is fine, the speed is fine, wireguard makes it ubiquitous, never had a problem with reliability.

  • Could he have done more than "encourage" RBG?

  • They can and do take prizes off laureates if they go bad later.

  • I think the point you might have missed is, a conviction shouldn't exclude you from receiving a prize, because you may have been convicted by a corrupt court.

I'm not saying Trump was wrongly convicted, just that a conviction shouldn't exclude you in and of itself.

  • Yeah. I listened to an episode of ologies about this.

Age is a big part of it. Like no one over 30 wants to risk everything for something they believe in.

The average age is older than it was in the civil war era.

  • They have ignobel prizes.

  • That is interesting. I have a few observations though...

Vance hosted the first show after Kirk died. I suspect that a very large portion of those subscribers signed up to see how that went.

That being the case, there's probably a large portion of those who signed up for that reason who were not aligned with TP USA.

  • This is a slippery slope logical fallacy.

Thing could be used with nefarious intent therefore thing should not exist.

I'll admit I'm not really across the technical implementation details. The equivalent apps here in Australia don't have the capability to track or surveil you.

There's different variants but the ones here basically just show a photo of your ID with an animated background and generate a time based token that can be scanned and verified.

  • Amazing.

  • Yeah I don't understand the big deal.

We've been using digital ID to identify ourselves to online government services in Australia since 2018.

Obviously I won't be using it to log in to facebook or mucky-jpegs.com but I don't really see it as a surveillance over-reach.

  • Oh man. This totally sucks. I just can't imagine how this would feel.

Of course whatever you're feeling is valid, but the best revenge is to cut contact and live your best life.

  • Thats a really dumb analogy.

You could frame anything involving risk as "gambling".

In gambling you potentially profit from risking losses. With insurance you pay to mitigate your risk. Not really similar at all.

  • Poppycock.
