I think forcing interoperability between similar services would help with this. No more company-specific printer ink. No more "exclusive" chat services.
If a service is bad you can just change it without having to change who still use it/what uses it
IIRC it's because the streamer can't play the music to people, since they don't have the license for that, the game has the license to play the music, not the streamer.
Yes, they got "the vibe" of the Zone, it's cruelty, it's unforgiveness, it's beauty and several other aspects, but scratched everything else. Honestly I think it was a good call for the games, it leads to more definitive ending. As for the movie, it's certainly better for not telling what the Zone is, unlike the book, that opens up explaining it.
Honestly I like the terror of the Zone simply existing for no comprehensible reason instead saying outright what it is. But the horror of the book is also great.
Roadside Picnic tells a story about an alien visit to earth, however they all already left and only some of their stuff remained in incredibly dangerous Zones. At the beginning of the book we follow Red, a Stalker, they wander into the Zone and try to escape with their lives, if they are lucky they will bring some alien artifacts and sell them to the highest bidder.
The book is much more firm that the Zone was created by aliens, and brings you to question that, if there where aliens, would they try and talk to us or even see us as intelligent?
The story was heavily adapted for the games (called S.T.A.L.K.E.R.), but I also enjoy them very much.
That's really weird! I've had that setting on during the bug report and after. However now I've disabled it and it no longer renders on top of the title. However it still fails to load.
Mercator's deformation show up when you move countries north/south. Since Portugal only moved slightly East the apparent size basically didn't change. (You can even see and compare real Portugal just left of the red projection)
I'm just like that and I really recommend NixOS. it's configuration is based on files written in the Nix programming language. You can have all your configuration on a single place, even for user programs with HomeManager.
And, since it's a programming language, you can make it execute stuff, like reading a directory and doing something based on that!
excuse me, but, what the fuck‽‽
