  • That would require them to run more servers, any extra CPU time is an indirect cost. By moving anti cheat to the client (along with other stuff like hit detection,) then they are only spending the customers CPU time not their server CPU time.

    It's about money.

  • Server comes with way more tools than windows 11, anyone that could just use windows 11 as a server is probably already doing so. (Although probably still on win10 or 7 most of the time.)

  • I remember seeing a YouTuber building this for real. Ofc it just detected if you used the sink etc, but it's totally possible to make.

  • I assume any technical person uses one of the workarounds anyway.

  • I think the self tightening shoes would have been doable. But we still didn't get those.

  • This is a reform backed culture war movement, not a real objection.

  • Who renews certificates these days? You automate that now, especially with 47 day certs coming.

  • Yea too many people buying something with a usbc and expect it to just work. Sorry that expensive USBC screen is not supported by your 5 year old laptop. You can either take it back or get a new laptop.

Some people still insist that I just didn't find the right driver.

  • But does it work with the foil? We found lots of metal containers didn't block the signal. Hell even a pouch advertised to do it still worked.

Thick metal containers with over lapping lids worked best.

  • If you are talking about the home page, I blocked the container for "featured content" using ublock, that kills short and news in the feed. If you get linked to a short, you can use a extension to redirect the URL to the normal watch player.

  • I don't believe that, it's so he can try to cancel the mid terms by being at war. He might have just done it bit earlier due to that.

  • You think all long time apple users know that the application name is up there, or that there is even a menu for the app at the top of the screen? No, sometimes telling people to click on the apple in the top left, so that they can go to restart, blows people's minds.

  • I almost forgot about the winamp video streams. I do still remember the 24/7 red Vs blue stream that was on it though!

  • The species has existed for longer than Pleiades

Now that blows my mind. I often think of astrological timescales to be so much longer than anything on earth.

  • On windows if you don't disable bitlocker, then login at least once to your outlook.com account so it can backup the key.

If you don't want to do that, install Linux instead.

I do tend to find the native recovery tools for an os to be better suited, so one Linux live cd, and one windows installer or pe recovery tool.

  • I think it might be something that happens during that short pause before a video starts?

  • They did this with outlook before so it not a new trend. Though the question is if they have added an option to open externally like in other apps. (I'm not going to install the pos to check the settings.)

  • Internet down? That's ok I have stuff on my jellyfin.

  • Yea have you not be able to do this with Apache etc forever? You can even define the endpoint with a very unix like every endpoint is a file.

On fact was there not even a vulnerability that was caused by the fact the CGI can run bash?
