  • I really hope the slate works. A no nonsense EV (or really any car) is so appealing. I just worry that it's cost will end up pushing people away. They were really banking on the EV tax credits to bring the "price" down

  • Mad Men

    Full metal alchemist: brotherhood

  • This! Sober me know I dont need to be inhaling so many calories of chips and cookies at night. High me on the other hand really hates sober me

  • Uranium has magnificent anti aging properties!

  • What's your ambient humidity like? I'm up in CO and the ambient humidity for a lot of the year is less than 20% and haven't felt like I need a driver yet, except maybe for new PETG

  • One time, when I was in 6th grade, an 8th grade girl called me cute. I don't think I'll ever forget it

  • And it's so. Damn. Delicious.

  • Asking people with power to give up that power willingly almost never works, unfortunately.

  • I don't so much mean weird situations, but perhaps just the demographics get skewed. Now that I think about it, I perhaps have a dumber question:

What the hell are exit polls are how are they conducted? The name implies they're conducting with folks leaving the polls, but if they're voting at home then how are they polled? This could also just simply boil down to why do we trust polls so much anyways

  • I gotta say, I fucking hate doing dishes. I'm not sure what it is about it, but I just have this almost irrational dislike for washing dishes (especially pots+ pans). Sure, I'll do it when it needs to be done, but my God do I dread it. Is there something wrong with me? Oh absolutely, but there's plenty else to fix before the dishes issue lol

  • No Stupid Questions @lemmy.world

Does the increase in early/mail-in voting make exit polls less accurate?

  • I believe that he does, and he knows shit will cost more, but he ALSO knows that his followers have no clue whatsoever. So prices will increase, and he'll blame it on one of their many "others". Keeping them scared and mad is the key to their control over them

  • Oh interesting, that's a lot more clear than what our mail in ballots looked like in my state.I guess fuck those people then

  • Well yeah, obviously, but the wording of a question is often manipulated to lead people to different results. That's all

  • I bet the wording on the ballot was different. Similar election results sites for my local ballot measures hasve greatly simplified the language the ballot had (which honestly is probably how ballot measures should be written)

  • Yup, you can't reason a person out of a position they didn't reason themselves into

  • Surprisingly no! He was more of the stick-skinny, probably into meth, cut off jean shorts and boots kinda guy

  • Oh it's real. I used to have a neighbor who would mow with a massive revolver on his belt, and no shirt

  • Solid state batteries are more energy dense, meaning that if all you want is 300 miles of range on a charge (perfectly fine with it's faster charging), then you can have less battery for the same range. Now how much lighter I'm not sure, but it's in the right direction!

  • Maybe they could focus on making better mice! The super light x 2 is falling behind more and more every year
