  • In my humble opinion, for some jobs, 5h/day would bring more benefits.

  • GNOME and vanilla Xfce are fine, but you can also try ElementaryOS as a distro.

  • A week ago, at most.

  • Really? I've always believed that it is an amazing way to learn basic concepts, because of how articles are linked to each other; furthermore, I have not had any issues with reading entire articles in one sitting. God, what has happened to this world???

  • Maybe openSUSE Slowroll?

  • P16 Gen 3 comes closer to that

  • Yes, but it does show a bottleneck from KDE's side, there. It means you'll need fast storage.

  • Intel Celeron N3060, 4 GB DDR3 RAM, and I live boot from a PNY USB pen

  • Just call it by its acronym, CRAP.

  • KDE has an insane footprint, from my testing. easily 2-4 minutes top from booting up Mint or Void Xfce, and GL getting KDE (tested using Chimera and Fedora) to fully load up in under 15 minutes. Of course, this is all live booting, but still…

  • I might make a list of modpacks to use and leave it at that, since I refuse to switch to the wannabe Minecraft.

  • LGTM

  • Additional tweaks to JVM configuration

    Doesn't elaborate

    ...

  • I feel like moving to ZGC was definitely a good move, since it works better than G1GC (even has better average throughput on my Intel Celeron N3060 laptop, considering stutters).

They should've also used compact object headers, and made the RAM allocation dynamic (alloc = max(available resources / 2, 2)), though.

  • No. We need to make them not have the relevance and power they want so much, and even symbolic things like using such a phrase is empowering.

  • I do it differently; I essentially have a software list there, too, and all are categorized.

  • Servo is actually quite usable, right now.

  • One of my favourites is definitely: Queen - The Show Must Go On

  • What about Dell Latitude (I'm not going to buy a laptop anytime soon, but I'm curious; specifically, the 5590)?
