  • It's pretty evident you plagiarized your comment, no reasonable person would write one "fewer" reason to be on YouTube when logically it would be one more reason to spend less time on YouTube.

  • Just throwing in my 2¢ here, your argument is devoid of any logic. You're assuming he knew that those drinks had caffeine, even though the source specifically states the victim intentionally avoided caffeine due to his pre-existing condition. "Charged" isn't a term that is typically used for drinks to indicate they have caffeine. Might as well call it zesty or smoky as neither of those terms imply any potential harm. It was negligent of Panera, most lawyers who have publicly commented or reviewed the claims agree that Panera will be found culpable or settle out of court. Being intentionally dense and abrasive isn't an argument.

  • Man I feel like even the worst movies back then were better than now. Even most blockbuster hits are a dud for me now. RIP

  • I'm having a crisis here thinking about this lol. It's a part of the system that is your machine if you consider the system to be the entire use of the computer. But it is not a part of the operating system on the drive. It's a lower level operating system that identifies your hardware's capabilities and functionality and has sets of instructions on how to boot from your storage. Computers are really just many many layers of abstraction. Separating the abstractions into layers gets pretty complex. But if you create a virtual OS inside of your storage device's OS, it is its own OS. It has no knowledge that it's a virtual machine.

  • I bought a laser printer years ago(Brother brand) and have printed a few hundred pages, I've never had to worry about toner. Ink printers are a total scam and the only reason people buy them is because the initial cost is much cheaper or they don't know the difference between inkjet and laser.

  • Yeah but who's gonna eat a whole pizza by themselves? They probably had two slices like a normal person and ate the rest the next day.

    😶‍🌫️

  • If the DNC hadn't shoved Hillary down our throats, Bernie would have certainly won the primary. But on policy the best candidate would have been Andrew Yang.

The DNC would rather lose elections than give us non-establishment politicians.

  • Imagine if the DNC gave democrats a worthy candidate. Then we wouldn't have to strongarm democrats to vote for democratic candidates.

  • Doesn't work for me on Jerboa either.

  • I'd say the American dream exists but the abuse you must take is unimaginable. My family came here with very little and worked horrible minimum wage jobs. I climbed my way up from horrible manual labor jobs, to call center to tech support to engineer. If you have passion and you're dedicated to your craft you'll be well compensated. But it's much more difficult than it should be. For me it took a lot of studying, politicing, and some lost respect for myself. Now I get to complain about my desk job and drink beer at live music bars to forget about work.

  • You quoted half of the sentence. I think there's enough substance on there to consider that an informed opinion.

  • Never looked into those, they're more affordable than I thought they'd be

  • I have been a network engineer with no degree for many years, but I did have a lot of certs. It'd be nice if there were something similar for programming. But I've never seen anyone care that much about the engineer title. I've always thought it's someone who understands his craft/engine design in and out, but doesn't design it himself. The architect designs it. The tech can perform documented solutions

  • You should have added "must be available to work all weekends" or have one weekend day off (Sunday) and another week day off (like Tuesday)

  • Pizza parties for me have either been where

    1. I work in service industry and am allowed to grab a slice but I must eat it at my desk and keep working

    2. I work in technology industry and my boss is well aware we're going to have to work through lunch for the 3rd day in a row because of massive outages and orders pizza

    3. Sales is coming into the building and they're celebrating with catered lunch but we get pizza as a consolation

  • Same with motorcycles. All year is motorcycle weather for me

  • IANAL but i'm pretty sure that even without an NDA anything you develop on the job is considered IP of the company. However, as long as it's not a blatant copy paste(a rewrite), it's hard to legally enforce that because they have to prove damages. Meaning that if they shelfed the idea/program, even if it's a blatant copy paste they can't do anything.

  • Charlotte had protests a few years back for a similar issue, so it's very possible. I'm all for protests, but sometimes people travel just to cause mischief and for petty crime.

It's very clear that workers need to unionize for bargaining power. I'm seeing more support for unions day after day so I'd say people are becoming more informed
