  • No your points are completely valid. I just couldn't find what I was looking for, that's why I am asking the community directly. As I mentioned in my post this isn't a spontaneous decision, I have been exploring every possibility that I could and didn't find something to my exact needs.

    The closest thing I saw was android devices, but they bring bloat and not really FOSS under the hood anyway

  • I should also add some nice to haves I guess haha, I prefer physical buttons to touch screen. SD card support would be a big plus. I am not an audiophile so by quality I mean build quality rather than audio quality. I even use BT headphones (forgive my sins)

  • Yeah totally, I'm sure there are multiple aspects to it. I don't think Nexomon counts as a rip-off game, a rip-off idea maybe? poorly mimicking the original game is ,for me at least, the one thing that separates a rip-off from a clone or a spiritual successor etc.

    The intention being, most of the time, riding on the popularity of the original to success.

    I also wouldn't generally consider fan games to be rip-offs.

  • Nothing bricking, just some compatibility issues I had and being stuck to microg releases was not my ideal way to go.

    Installing them separately is really easy so no need to worry. Basically you install lineage then droidify and you can install microg services from there.
