The SEAT Leon mk4 FR PHEV
The SEAT Leon mk4 FR PHEV
This is my car, my first car, I got it when I got my license at 36, three years ago.
I was very fortunate enough to have been able to get a slightly used example without financing.
205bhp with the petrol engine and electric motor running combined, it is heavy though, 1.6 tonnes...
It is the perfect car for me, I am not a car guy, I am an IT guy and hobby photographer who also enjoy driving.
Fuel economy highly depends on your driving, but on a long drive on the motorway, I tend to set it to hybrid mode so it uses both battery and petrol to get a good mix of performance and economy, and usually ends up at 3.5L/100km
It comes with the standard speaker system, it sounds perfectly fine, personally with my bad hearing, it sounds excellent.
I have driven it a LOT, I love finding small roads in the countryside and seeing where they go, I don't really focus on fast and hard driving.
That being said, I don't skimp on tires, just got a brand new set of excellent Pirellis as my old summer tires, Bridgestones, were worn out.
I have been in a small wildlife accident, I hit a hare or badger last summer, that was fun...
The car is mostly great, with two big downsides.
- Too many controls in the infotainment!
- Awkward touch buttons to control demisting!
Other than that, I love it, it is a brilliant car!
For those who have never heard about SEAT and Leon, think of it as a Spanish WV Golf.
SEAT as a brand is being retired and replaced with their sport brand, Cupra, not a super fan of that as it seems more of a lifestyle brand and less like a car brand.
Anyway, I just wanted to ramble on about my car.
