  • lol and the exact reason I haven't pushed in too hard. As it's a new laptop to me (and my current laptop is an aluminium tank) I'm not used to the max forces that can be applied before things get to the 'upset' stage!

  • yeah, gots to love mate. i use it for pretty much all the reasons listed above.

  • Kindly make it 65. Thanks

  • What advantage does Octave / Matlab have over say python and matplotlilb? Jupyter notebook would offer a more interactive experience if necessary.

  • Hey, I can't but I could build you a bot that pretends to be a beautiful young Eastern European / Thai (your choice) single woman looking for a husband with face pics, videos who needs a down-payment for a flight to visit you.

  • I want one! Examples given include the obvious AI/machine learning, medicine, research, even music composition using cells of a "dead composer". Sadly the cells only last for six months and you need to be able to prove that you have a suitable lab to keep the cells alive. They do talk about being able to easily scale up to many millions of cells which would be revolutionary for AI. Low-powered and possibly easier to train than traditional AI.

    The developers trained a set of cells to play pong, but they found they it didn't bother to learn when they wanted to. They had to stimulate it with a regular pulse of electricity and punish it with electrical noise when wrong! Maybe they need to work in dopamine as a way of rewarding the cells.

    • AI slop != spam
    • No one can tell the difference between AI slop and real people.
    • Creating hundreds of AI posts in seconds/minutes is possible, but easily detectable. People have the smarts.

  • gee, it's as if Musk's AI for powering government decisions is already being given the all-clear.

  • I don't get it. An OS is to help you do stuff and not get in your way. Why do people argue over which is the best one to use and why is it Debian? No one cares what you use, just shut up and be productive.

  • What confusion? My not big brain can't handle your facts.

  • So it's the religion that abuses white people, not the people? Me confused, or you not big brain?

  • fReE PaLeNsTiNe! (Israel quakes)

  • Is it racist to have an opinion on the brainwashing by a religion and the utter dolts who practise it? Religionist? It's racist until it happens to you and you're outnumbered by these people who think they control the cities they inhabit, in some, forcing women of all races to wear scarves or face verbal / physical / sexual abuse from Pakistani men, Pakistani women looking you up and down then telling you in your country that you can't get in the lift with them because you're white, days can go by where hearing English on the street is the exception, hearing Arabic prayers played daily on loudspeakers in the town centre, workers employed in public-facing roles in England unable to speak any English, only Arabic and have to call over someone else to communicate with you?

  • Is this AI generated and posted by a bot to encourage anti-muslim messages? e.g. no footprints from the sandals to the water, or anywhere else on the sand...

  • This is an opinion. You're not allowed to have one and will be downvoted for it because the down-voters think doing it makes them a good person. /s

  • Of course! Next step, guns, military use, pew pew lasers etc. I want to see those "dogs" loaded with a kit, hunting and destroying each other.

  • Sure, but it wasn't really possible to code the stuff they wanted to at that time.
