  • I think you need to use social media to understand the size of it. But then again, social media is very different from reality. I also dont see it much in real life, but how would i? Guys are not going to talk about it and there is no fighting out in the open. :)

  • I just got so disappointed that he was with Trump in that press conference recently. I dont know the full situation, I guess he was there to get some funding for some martial arts stuff, but seeing him friendly with Trump was very sad.

    I dont care about American politics but Trump as a person is just horrible, so its not about the politics. Its about the person.

  • I would argue that Lemmy.world has even more strict rules than reddit. At least it seems like that sometimes. Certain topics are just deleted.

    I think Lemmy is decent for memes and entertainment but I dont think it can serve as a proper discussion site. The moderation wouldnt work. Unpaid moderators cant keep this place open for good discussions because it requires too much effort. But its good for memes. I like Lemmy in that way. Its positive and fun.

  • Oil is globally priced so even if you have your own production in America, prices go up there as well. It benefits the producers a lot but leads to higher prices for the slaves consumers.

    You will therefore have oil in America but Asia and China will have a huge crisis since 80% of the oil from Hormuz goes to those countries, and now its cut off by Americas blockades.

    So higher prices in America, but it forces China, India, South Korea and Japan to try and buy oil from America.

    So this war is about making those countries depend on Americas goodwill for resources. If they dont go along with what Trump is saying, no deal.

  • I dont understand why people are even considering staying on those platforms. What are you even doing? Cant live without them? How sad is that actually. And I mean that. It really is very sad that humans now think they need these platforms.

  • I dont even check if a game will work anymore on Linux, it always does. Last one was Planet Crafter which was a really good game. The entire planet is changing as you terraform it which is very fun to see.

  • Few places nowadays is it legal to lay around & do whatever you want outdoors, usually getting cited for loitering or something. Thank goodness for beaches, we're mostly free here.

    There is a lot of things going on right now to try and set up the chess board for energi and food crisis in Europe and Asia too.

    Fake elections, fake democracy. The president of USA is a puppet controlled by secret societies, and thats why nothing ever changes.

    People cant even choose candidates. Everyone has to be rich to be president. Because money is what controls people. If you dont have that greed, you cant be controlled by the system. Thats why everyone powerful is rich.

  • Leaving the country is probably the best long term solution. Its not going to stop. These things are all going to be connected to data center AI and track everyone in real time.

    Thats what the data centers are for. Not chat bots.
